All the words I meant to say
Would they matter
Or would you simply turn and walk away?"

Aww, feel better (I'm sick too, but I'm going to school).
Tchi, are we still doing the fan art project for when you go to the show next month?

Is that the project with the letters? Because I'm still working on mine, so I hope I didn't miss the send date or whatever.
bway-- I didn't even know there were pics from Legally Blonde yet. Where did you find that?

Tchi, you should tell that girl that seeing the musical does NOT ruin the movie. At least it didn't for me...I'm watching the movie right now!
It makes me reminisce about the show, sure, but at the same time I like seeing parts that I love from the movie that aren't in the show. Like just now it was when Linda comes back after leaving Robbie at the altar and all the "things that could have been brought to my attention YESTERDAY!"
If she likes the movie, she'll really like the show and will just be able to enjoy both...and really, what's wrong with that?

I think that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I could see maybe a movie ruining the show for you, but the show ruining the movie?

Speaking of Kevin Kern's show ("The Screams of Kitty Genovese"), here's a review on it from talkinbroadway.com:
https://www.talkinbroadway.com/ob/09_27_06.html
Here's the part that specifically mentions Kern:
Arranging all this would have been daunting for most creative teams with Broadway-level resources, but director David G. Edwards and musical director Randall Eng (who's also part of an amazing six-piece band) have done so without a single detectable misstep. That includes the casting, with Sanders and Marks the startling centerpieces (Sanders's belting of those titular screams being especially memorable) but with everyone - including New York stalwarts Cheryl Alexander and Kevin Kern - doing invariably rapturous work. You'll find no more ambitious work this successfully realized at NYMF this year.
Dancing, mind giving us a more detailed review of it besides "veeeeerrrry good"?

I copied this from the other board:
spoiler warning....
So, I ushered the opening night of THE SCREAMS OF KITTY GENOVESE last night. The story didn't seem like something that could be turned into a musical, so I was definitely very curious. I have to say... It WORKS! The show is entirely sung through (a few small exceptions), but it is very effective.
The beginning of the show is creepy. I can't find a better word to describe that. We begin with the entire cast sitting on the stage, back to the audience (naturally, the first thing I did was look for Kevin's curly hair). A man (the killer, Winston) comes onto the stage and begins to get dressed, while singing a very haunting song with drums in the background. After this very scary beginning, we get to meet Catherine ("Kitty") Genovese and her neighbors. Kitty, played by the insanely talented Sheri Anders, is getting ready for a night out with her friends. We then meet the rest of Kitty's neighbors, a pretty run of the mill bunch. There's Francine (played by the hysterical Cheryl Alexander), the elderly, sleep deprived woman; Cathy and Jimmy (Elizabeth DeRosa and Kevin Kern), the young couple with a new baby; and Marty, the lonely janitor. According to the tenants of the building, this is "Just another night," even when they hear the screams. I'm not going to tell the rest because I don't want to spoil it.
Now, since I know you're all wondering...
Kevin is fantastic. He's got a relatively small part, but he works with what he's given. Kevin plays Jimmy, a man with a cranky, sleep-deprived wife and a new baby girl (hence the lack of sleep). The first time we meet Jimmy, he is leaned over the cradle talking to his "pretty." His wife, Cathy, orders him to take the baby form her, because she needs sleep. Jimmy, who obviously loves his family deeply, takes the baby without complaint.
Kevin sings a GORGEOUS lullaby to the baby (with a little help from Elizabeth). The song had me in tears(although that doesn't take much). After this gorgous lullaby, they spoiled the moment by starting those damn creepy drums again.
So, yeah. Kevin is amazing. The whole show was amazing. The end.
