Awwww that's so excellent! My grandma went with friends from her community sometime in early June and saw Tina, and I was so excited! I didn't get to see her the first time until July, but after that everytime I saw her for the rest of the summer I was there, before Laura was announced as out, Tina went on, it was AMAZING!!!
I'm so happy she made it to the balcony, YAY! Haha if you ask me I think Stephen just wanted to find a way to get her to stop throwing it to the front row, lol. Just kidding, I love Tina, especially when she threw it to me on my birthday so no complaints here!!!

that didnt stop her tho! after she explained the whole thing of trying to get the bouqet to the balcony... a week later she threw it to me and my friend in front row and the night before she threw it to these other girls in the front row.
The last few times I've seen Stephen Lynch try and fling the garter it's gone like... 4 rows in. I think it's just too light to go any farther. And it's nice to hear Tina finally got the bouquet up to the balcony. It seemed like she pretty much tried to get it up there anytime it was a good crowd. If it was a sucky crowd, she'd throw it to people she recognized in the front. Have to say, was really loving the sucky crowd the night she tossed it to us.
I can't wait for Tina to go on again. She has quite the following. Plus, you never know what she's going to do next! Haha

No, he hasn't. Like I said, put Tina on as a decoy and see if he returns. Haha

Tonight, Kevin Cahoon and Constantine are participating in A Night in Gotham at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. It's a benefit for the Gotham Stage Company.
A friend of mine got to see the WS for the first time on Friday. She thought it was so hilarious that she went back the next night, too. Said Kevin Cahoon was hilarious. Um, and yeah, she liked Constantine in it, too. But she was able to get her Playbill signed by all the cast that came out after the show. Said it was so crowded out there, hard to find a good place.
Jekyll & Hyde back on Broadway! / Rock of Ages - 5 Tony nominations! Awesome!
and my day was just made: i just was looking online, and i looked up the cast of AIDA when i saw it back in 2002, and i just realized i saw Felicia Finley as Amneris! i know that sounds stupid i just found that out, but AIDA was my first show ever, and i just feel good i saw her in it!!!
A small little review for the best day of my life (Last night at 7:30) Ok: First it;s time for a little story. I just came into the city and was headed for the theatre to get my tickets for the later show and all of a sudden I hear screaming and I was like... that's probabaly for Constantine. So I run over to the theatre and see a mob of people crowding around the stagedoor and i'm in shock right now. So then I see Richard H. Blake comming out and i'm like "I really want him to take a picture with me now because he won't have to do both: sign my playbill and take a picture later." So then I get a pciture with him and then Kevin Cahoon comes out and i'm like shaking because I am such a huge fan of him and we talked for like a minute then we took a picture and he signed my playbill. Then I basically did the same thing with Amy and Felicia. Then (drum roll) Constantine comes out and everyone screams and random people off the street come to the stagedoor to take pictures with him and it was crazy. (Story time's over) Oh, and then I went to eat at Junior's (again). The end.
Ok, review time:
*Kevin Kern was on for Stephen.
*Kevin Kern- If I had to rate him from a 1 to a 10 on his performance last night, I would have gave him maybe a 6 or a 7. In my personal opionion he wasn't that great. His singing was.. O.K, he was just O.K. You really can't replace Stephen. (No offense to the Kern fans of this thread)
Laura Benanti- Fantastic, she was really incredible. If I Told You was really good, usually I don't like the sad part scences of a show... but this was different, it was great.
Rita Gardner- I don't understand how she does it. I really don't, her performance is always so amazing and at her age usually people like to take it down a little. Obviously she is very dedicated to her work and I am very happy to see that.
Richard H. Blake- He has such a great voice. He is really nice at the stagedoor and his acting is fantastic (even though he doesn't say too much in the show)
Kevin Cahoon- AMAZING He really took this role and made it his own. (btw; *cough, cough, coughivideoreccordednevertoolatetomovethatthangcough, cough, cough*) He is such a nice guy also, I did get to talk to him a few times yesterday but I just have to say that he is so sweet.
Felicia Finley- No one can possibly say: "Suit your self Jennifer!" Better than her. She was great . I really loved how she basically stole the show and put soo much energy into her songs and into the theatre.
Constantine Maroulis- I have heard mixed reviews about him. Let me say this: He was fantastic. His Jersey accent was perfect, great dancer, great singer. Great everything. It was...great.
Amy Spanger- Effing phenomenal. Her voice was amazing. Wow, her performance just blew me away.
Ok, I gotta go to a bat-mitzvah right now.. so bye!
I love Stephen and everything, don't get me wrong but I will definitely not be disappointed if when I go back on Friday if Kevin's on. I love the man, seriously. Last week he told me him and Tina did a funny dance for me during "George's Prayer" when they were dancing together in between dialogue. It was cute. Gotta love the two of them. Maggie, you're right and thank you for mentioning it! Kevin Kern is also a part of that Gotham benefit tonight. So is his wife, Tony nominee Megan Lawrence.
And Wiicked, I'm sorry you didn't like Kevin that much. But to each their own... I think Kevin's voice is absolutely beautiful (hell, it makes me a little swoony!). But you also caught him at the end of the week when he's been going on as Robbie all week, not to mention his NYMF show prior to that. The man needs his rest and hasn't gotten it yet! LOL But I'm done making excuses for him... ;x Updated On: 10/9/06 at 04:39 PM
