Posted: 7/18/06 at 4:23pmWho could ever replace him? Stephen is so wonderful, what actor out there could fill his dancin' shoes?! Michael Arden?

see, I dont think ANYONE could replace him, however I HAVE had a very, VERY strong attachment to him for five years and running, so... yeah
hehe. By the way, I'm almost positive I've said this before, but I feel the need to mention it again, for anyone who hasn't been introduced to his comedy, go get his cds or, even better, his dvd Live at the El Rey!! Lets just put it this way, I have LITTERALLY fallen out of my chair laughing while watching it :P hehhee. Plus, to see him close up for that long, making the CRAZY wonderful expressions he can make.. is just plain yummyness
that is all. haha

As far as I know, Laura is going to be in this weekend.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride.
I love you because I know no other way than this.

I might be able to go the weekend after next! YAYNESS!
here's to hoping everything works out and I can. Heck.. I MIGHT even be able to see another show too when I go in! unfortunately because Wicked doesn't have rush tickets that makes it a PAIN to get to... and wicked's the other show I am absolutely dying to see, at least while eden's in it. So.. we'll see. But yay wedding singerrr!

What is that?
Oh....
...It's jealousy. AHH, NEW YORKERS, YOU'RE SO LUCKY! I want to go back to NYC and see it again!!! Whenever I do, I plan on getting the 'Simply Wed' tour shirt.
I was so slow, I actually thought that was the tour shirt for The Wedding Singer tour. I was like 'isn't it a little early?'

^oh trust me, this is VERY rare that I get to go in two times so close together :) I live in Vermont (I lived on long island for 8 years though, which explains my broadway obsesson a bit lol), and its only because I'm willing to take the train myself and my friends on long island are nice and willing to pick me up when I get there that I'm able to go
I usually only get to see a show maaaaybe once a year, sometimes not even. Last year was RENT, which basically took my already obsessive tendencies toward broadway and fueled them into a full fledged ADDICTION
haha

Vermont? Much closer than Georgia.
Ugh. I hate being in the south. I'm the most northern person in all of the south, i'm sure of it.

Awww...that sucks. I live in Pennsylvania and you'd think that'd be better...but no. In my whole life I've seen only 3 shows on Broadway and the rest on tours. Two of those 3 Broadway shows were because my high school French Club used to take a trip to NYC once a year, otherwise I wouldn't have even gotten to go to those. My parents are finally agreeing to take me to see TWS but don't want to drive (it's like 3 hours) and are trying to go through this weird bus company that doesn't want us to have a lot of say in where we sit for the show.
So after that long rant, I guess I'm trying to say that being closer doesn't always make it easier, lol.

Yeah, I went tonight - sort of accidentally - I walked buy the theater like 30 minutes before and bought a ticket.
Not only was it pretty full for Tuesday night, the crowd was very responsive and loud - they stopped the show with applause several times which was fun.
Stephen, Laura and Amy were all SO energetic - and I've seen the show any number of times, but they were all throwing themselves into it SO hard that it would be difficult not to be caught up in how infectiously happy the three of them were onstage. They just seemed so damned pleased with each other it was very fun to watch.
Nicolette was on for Felicia and I thought she was outstanding - I'd seen her a while back and was just sort of "eh" about her but I think she's really grown a lot in the role - she was great.

Okay, you guys are making me realize that I really am very lucky :) granted I still say Vermont isnt nearly close enough haha, but I was REALLY lucky that when I lived on long island my grandparents did too, and they happened to have money AND an interest in broadway shows. Soooo.. I got to see a LOT throughout the years, and I didn't really notice how many I DID get too see till I didn't get to see them anymore haha. One that I didn't fully appreciate the glory of that I got to see it until just recently? The Sound Of Music- with laura
unfortunately I was really young and dont remember it much... but I remember laura was awesome! hehe. Another that I DO remember that I'm EQUALLY as happy I got to see? Kiss Me Kate with Amy :P (Amy was in fact the first broadway person I ever became really attached to)

But don't Stephen and Amy always do their best? :)
Also, glad to hear Laura is happy to be back.

I got 3rd row seats to see the show like two weeks ago, and LOVED it! The cast was sooo great, and yeah Stephen Lynch is hot!
great show!
Question: what mag are those great pictures from?
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofure: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread.#372
