YAY Nicolette!!! That's very exciting...of course I wish I were there. BOO! *wonders what happened with Robyn* I guess maybe she didn't feel ready yet. That's awesome for Nicolette though!!! I'm so happy for her! Haha this is definitely the show for the 2nd understudies! First with Christina as Rosie, and then Julia and now Nicolette going on as Holly.

bwayondabrain: That's cool with your letter! I wish you much luck! I decided I'm going to write individual letters so that way I make sure the people I want to get them will get them...I do feel a little guilty not writing to everyone though. But it's not that I don't like them it's just different with the people I am gonna write to, even though I'm definitely writing 10 letters, and they're pretty much all ensemble members except Amy and Kevin, lolz.

Also has anyone else looked at the cast list on the official wedding singer site??? It's so screwy!!! Haha they left Matt Allen on there but took Cara off and added on David and Robyn and they still have Spencer on there with no Nick...interesting stuff.

P.S. YAY I'M AN UNDERSTUDY re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread.

Tchi, I meant "Once a Wedhead, Always a WedHead..."

My mom seems mad at me, so now I'm not sure I'm going Sunday.

I wish they'd have just kept it open until Jan 7th..instead of having to refund one week of performances.

Then, I could definitely go to the final performance.

But, hey, I'll just deal with second-to-last performance.

Holy Buckets there are a lot of posts on this thread! WOW! :)

Ok, I saw the show for the first time tonight. I'd never seen the movie... I know, I live under a rock, I guess. I grabbed me a Student Rush ticket and sat front and center and WOW, I'm so glad I did!!! What an amazing show!!!! I'm not going to lie though, there were some jokes that didn't go over so well, but overall, I loved every minute. The music is contagious and EVERYONE in that cast each have their own moments to shine and they do it BEAUTIFULLY!! The drunk at the bar - HILARIOUS! Cindy Lauper... PEED MY PANTS!! Linda... HYSTERICAL! When I listened to that on the recording, I didn't get it, but now that I've seen it, it ALL makes sense.

Gosh and the whole time a part of me was so sad that this wonderful show is closing. The audience was a little sleepy tonight, it's true and the balcony was nearly empty which broke my heart even further. This show is so well constructed and deserves to run longer than half a year.

Can someone clarify, it's probably been mentioned, but I don't have time to weed thru all 5 million posts,... Is there going to be a tour? A few months back I heard it was going to start in Minneapolis but then I read that the producers were still in "talks" about the tour. I hope like heck this one goes out on tour. I think people who can't get to Broadway will eat this one up!!

I was pretty upset when I read that Nicollette was going on for Amy Spanger. I love Amy S. (I'm an old school Renthead who saw her at her start of her Maureen days.) So I was not happy before the show. But then Nicollette came on and made me forget Amy. She had a few glitches with props and costumes tonight (has she performed the role much? just curious. Probably just fluke things) But she was killer!

Golly, I wish I could see this one again, but I leave town soon for 2 months. re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread.

SAVE THE WEDDING SINGER!!! :)

re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread.

There's supposed to be a tour starting up next fall. I've read that it's official AND that they're still in talks, so I don't know for sure! :

Really glad you liked Nicolette as Holly! I.. actually think this was her first time on? Could be wrong, but if it's not, then she hasn't gone on as Holly very much at all!

re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread.

re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread.

William: OMG your avatar!!! Haha I'm rolling on the floor, LOVE IT! I'm so glad you liked the show so much! And yes that was Nicolette's first time going on. I can imagine she'd have a few issues with costumes because her body type is so different from Amy's and those are the only Holly costumes they have, lolz, the other understudy, who is now gone from the show sadly re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread. (points to avatar), wore those costumes as well because they were the exact same size, but yeah Nicolette is different, haha. Ugh I'm so jealous of you that you got to see her! As I'm sure a lot of people on this board are right now, haha! But I'm really glad you enjoyed it! Too bad you won't get to go back so much now that it's closing. BOO!!! Save the WS is right!!!

I'm not sure if you would know this because I'm not sure if you follow the show really closely and just haven't been able to get out to see it until now because I believe since Nicolette has no named parts it wouldn't be included on an insert, but if you don't know the answer...does anybody know whether Joanne or Angelique went on for Nicolette last night??? Just curious...haha I have an obsessive kind of thing where I like to sort out what swing usually covers which ensemble member :-P

re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread.

The program said Robyn Hurder swung on last night so I assume she covered Nicolette's track. Can you describe some of the characters Nicolette usually plays?

Her glitchers were fairly minor. She had issues removing her skirts during her quick changes that are done front and center. Can't remember the song names, but there was a closet behind her at the time and another was when she revealed the "I'm with Stupid" t-shirt. She didn't skip a beat and I'm sure hardly anyone else noticed. For props, she had trouble getting the flower in the ladder for the Constintine Tango, or whatever the name was. And at the top of that same scene, she dropped the long trail of balloons too early. I didn't think it was a mistake until she climbed down and then climbed back up to only let them go a few seconds later.

From what I know of Amy and from what i hear on the recording, her voice was a near perfect match.

Thanks for the Avatar love! :)

Hey, so I have a question, how has Laura B's vocal track changed since she has been back? Sometimes vocals are differant from what you hear on the recording and I assume since she had vocal trouble in the beginning of the run that she'd have changed a few things. I didn't notice anything, so maybe it hasn't changed, but she sounded INCREDIBLE!! Her and Stephen Lynch are so cute together.

Kevin Cahoon is of my favorite performers!! I saw him way back, many years ago at the Guthrie doing BABES IN ARMS. Playing oppisote Kristen Chenowith... I know, right?

I want Rita Gardner to be my Grandma! At intermission I was searching for her picture in the program and could not find it. Then I looked at names, and found it - She needs a new picture. But she is a RIOT!

Oh, one small beef - the orchestra needs to cut the talking during the show. I could hear them plain as day at several points during the show. .... I bet that's why it's closing. Darn noisy Musicians! HA! JK! :)
