I've seen the entire cast with no understudies a few times. Laura is the only one that was out, a few times when I saw it.

Ive only seen the show with the full cast and it was soo AMAZING!! i really dont want to see a show with understudies since i dont get to see the show a lot. im sure they do a great job and i would love to see them if i could see the show more often. but the full cast does such a great job and they have such great chemistry together!
I've seen the show twice with the full cast, and twice without. It was just as wonderful each time.
Okay I just saw this show again on Saturday night and I must admit I LOVE TINA!! She is an awesome Julia, and I think after seeing both of the understudy and the regular, that I prefer Tina. PS: SHE LOST HER HIGHHEEL SHOE AND IT FLEW INTO THE CROWD. It was adorable. GOD I LOVE THIS SHOW!! And the cast was soo nice at the stagedoor, definitly the nicest cast I have met to date.
LOVE THIS SHOW!!
I still can't believe she managed to send her shoe into the audience.

ha ha, that is soo funny. im glad she covered it really well and the audience was nice enough to give it back! i have to say thats one of the best screw ups ive heard, ha ha.
I loved that part, did you guys see when the audience member put in back in her shopping bags. Tina really handled the show like it was her own. Although Laura may have the stronger voice, I just think Tina flowed better with Stephen. I just love this show....I want to see it again already

Am I the only one here who would have kept the shoe?

I don't have much to add to this thread but I just wanted to tell all of you that I rushed Saturday and got front row nearly center for the matinee. Man...was this a FUN show! This was my first time seeing it. From the first note to the last note I wanted to get up and dance and sing with them. The cast is great! I saw Tina as Julia and she rocked. She's got this cuteness that made you really care about her character and Robbie. I can't wait to see this show again. I was lucky enough to sneak out of a bachelor party for the afternoon to see this...yea I know bachelor parties and musicals do not mix but I'm glad I went. I'm not a huge fan of the movie but the stage show is so much fun. I hope it plays for a while.

Why would you want a shoe? Especially when you know it's not yours and is a part of her costume? Besides, I'm sure had you decided to shove it into your bag, the people next to you would have heckled you to give it back.. LOL

ha ha, yea, thats true, the ppl beside you would get on you. but it would be a unique souvinier, ha ha.
DoubleDown: I'm glad you enjoyed the show!!
I love when wild things happen during a live performance, Tina is such a comic pro, she really is always "in the moment"!
This reminds me of the time she hit the floor during VOULEZ-VOUS. Ouch!
Oooh, the joys of live theatre. Hehe ..

I can't get the song "Somebody Kill Me" out of my head!
I've been singing it all day!
Somebody please kill this song from my head!
*sings "It's Your Wedidng Day"*
There, does that help?

Lately I've found that "Casualty of Love" is what gets stuck in my head really easily...and mostly just the line "Love's a trick, love's a trap, love's a hot chick with the clap."
Try being at work with only that running through your head all the time!
(So really, SweetQ you might be able to switch out "Somebody Kill Me" with "Casualty of Love"...I'll trade you, lol.)
"Am I the only one here who would have kept the shoe?"
There actually wouldn't have been a choice. The man generously got up and put it in the shopping bag, true, but about ten feet behind him was an usher coming to retrieve it. When the man stood up to put it in the bag the usher stopped and waited to see what he was going to do.

Mistress, I had "Casualty of Love" stuck in my head in class yesterday.
I won't trade. I will give away though! For free!!!
The newest Broadway.com Q&A is up and it features.... Stephen Lynch! Interviewed during one of the infamous poker games (you can see Kern beside Stephen in a picture on page 3, haha!).

Ahh, that was a good interview! I wish i could interview him while he plays poker, ha ha.
HaHAAHAHA, that was great.
I'll tell you what the burden is…that ****ing picture in Times Square. That's the burden.
Do you have a favorite number in the show? I know you've mentioned getting to jump in the dumpster and listen to Laura Benanti [as Julia] serenade you…
Yeah, that's always fun! "Casualty of Love" is a great song. One of my favorites.
The audience goes nuts over that one.
Well, thank god, because they could really hate me for that number, but they usually end up not.
What about "Let Me Come Home?"
Yeah, getting molested by Felicia [Finley, as Robbie's ex Linda]. [grins] That's a good one.
Crazy.
