haha, well since im bored ill share mine.
i was in nyc with our drama club at school. we had arrived on friday areound noon. we roamed the city all day and then we saw Tarzan that night! i loved the show and didnt think i could see anything better. after the show we went back to our hotel. the next day we went to china town in the morning and were seeing TWS at 1 and i didnt know what to think. i had thought that the show would either be REALLY good or REALLY bad. i didnt know.
well i was with 3 other people. one of which was one of my best friends, the other 2 we just hung out with. well me and my best friend knew we could not simply make it to the theatre in 15 min, but the other 2 ppl did. so me and my friend were extremely mad when we got to the theatre because, although we werent late for the show, we were about 45 min late to when we were supposed to meet the rest of our group.
so finally the show started and i was still mad the entire first act. but i had forgot about it! I LOVED THE SHOW!! then that night we went to see lestat and i hated it (sry). but all ive been able to think of since then is TWS!!!!!
and thats my story! lol.
I'll play!
I went with 2 of my friends to see TWS because we couldn't get tickets to Mamma Mia. LOL. I wasn't sure if I wanted to see the Wedding Singer, because I didn't know how it could compare to my favorite movie. We went and got the tickets, so I just decided to be optimistic and see how it went. By the time we got to the theater, I was in a really bad mood because my friends and I had argued a bit, and one of them didn't show up (leading to more argument). So, we got to the theater and took our seats, and I was in a miserable, miserable mood. The show started, and I wasover it by the time the ensemble danced out. The show just kind of sucked me in. I got so wrapped up in the feel-good story. I've since been back 6 more times.
Thus ends my cheesy story.

ha ha, what is it with being really mad before seeing the show, and then being the happiest person ever when you leave?? lol, i guess thats a good thing tho!!!
I'll bite, even though I'm not a regular here or anything. When I saw the show in the spring, I was going through some really rough problems; I was sick a lot, and I could barely get the motivation to do my schoolwork or talk to anybody, really, because I was physically and emotionally exhausted constantly. The best I could hope for was to distract myself for short periods of time, since a solution was nowhere in sight. BSo invited me to see TWS with him, and I figured it'd be good for me to get out and do something other than mope, so we went, and I had a blast. I laughed and smiled and felt like myself again for the first time in weeks, and even though I didn't think it was the best show ever or anything, I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and it was just what I needed (plus, the cast was stellar). I think there's a lot to be said for that.

and dancingthrulife, i find that hilarious you couldnt get tickets to MAMMA-MIA! for some odd reason...its just like "aw man, i cant see MAMMA-MIA! now i have to see THE WEDDING SINGER...eh" :P
but yeah, keep the stories coming!
We couldn't get the tickets because we didn't know Mama Mia had gotten rid of student rush, and we didn't have enough money on us. LOL

it was fate, wasnt it?
:)
It was. Although, I don't think fate knew what kind of addiction it was creating.

I saw it for no purpose aside from the fact that it was just next on the list to see. It was fun. Definately a pick-me-up. When I need cheering up, it's to the Hirschfeld I go....until I find something new to strike my fancy. It was a very dull summer season.
I had wanted to see it when I heard that Amy Spanger and Stephen Lynch would be in it because I'm huge fans of both. I was supposed to go during previews, but things just kept coming up. Finally, my dad agreed to rush with my friend and I on a Sunday. The night before, I couldn't find my student ID and I literally started to cry. I know that's pathetic, but I had wanted to go so badly. It all worked out though because we were able to go to my highschool in the morning to get it from where I had left it.
The day of, I was soo excited to see it. We were the first online for tickets, and got for the front row. I couldn't stop smiling during the first song. Even though I had come for Amy and Stephen, I had really enjoyed all the songs and the show overall. Afterwards, I was able to get pictures with everyone from the cast (Except for Felicia..I thought I missed her, but she just took a really long time to come out). So, that's my really long story. But I love the Wedding Singer .

^hahaha, I bet that was the day they were all going somewhere and Felicia took like FOREVER to come out and when she did she was totally dressed up and everything :P when the rest of them weren't. lol.
and apparently, someone at the sd asked "where's linda?" and laura replied "linda thinks she Barbie, honey"... or, something along those lines. lol
no, I'm not THAT obsessive that I know how each day at the stagedoor was lolol, I just remember that sd story particularly well, and remember that felicia came out but was really really late on account of her being barbie

Hi folks,
I've never seen a Broadway show (I live near Portland, Oregon) but I am a big fan of Constantine... I'd really like your opinions (those of you who have seen him in WS) as to how his performances are... what does he add to the cast...did you enjoy his part of the show? *please be honest* Personally, I believe he's quite talented and charismatic, but of course I've never seen him on Broadway... you experienced Broadway-goers... what do you think? Thanks! :)

You can still buy tickets online. Are you sure it's really sold out?
It is not sold out tonight. A few people were able to get tickets not long before show time.

Tickets were still on sale 15 minutes ago.

Really? Is it a bad addiction when you are spending 25 dollars all the time on Broadway Shows rather than to a charity?

My story was:
My dad promised me that me and him could go to the city to see a show, because I see a show every month, sometimes I see 3 shows a month. But then his job needed him and my mom took me to see whatever show I wanted. The end.
Pretty crappy story, but... yeah, that's how it happend.

but the point is you got to see the show and fell in love with it!!
snl89- Yep, that was that day. I was so annoyed when I found out that she did come out. But it really didn't matter in the end, because I got a picture with her like a month later.
