Don't see her on for next week.

Truly ridiculous. Sounds cliche, but this is cancel culture at its absolute worst."
And it's clear that the demand of "Individuals, including Patti Lupone, who use their platform to publicly demean, harass, or disparage fellow artists— particularly with racial, gendered, or otherwise violent language—should not be welcomed at industry events, including the Tony Awards, fundraisers, and public programs." doesn't apply to all of those people in the Broadway "community" who publicly demeaned, harassed, and disparaged Laura Osnes, Bailey Hanks, Clifton Duncan, and Chad Kimball.
We’ve really lost the plot.

Ewww. Solution to what? She is fine. Cream always rises to the top. She will come out of all this. I will buy a ticket next time she brings one of her concerts to town. I actually think the theater community and its zombies are not coming out very good in this. Did you read that obnoxious open letter?

And referencing Dan Snyder's behavior in the workplace or Will Smith's physical violence is absolutely not the same as an individual being rude in an interview.

I meant the way people are acting is like she should kill herself. This is so extreme.

Give her side to what???? She said what she said.
Those ‘500 Broadway artists’ are unbelievable. This is genuinely the most scandalous, unfair, ridiculous bull**** I have ever seen or read since I started this hobby. It’s not even funny anymore. Shame on you. Shame.
That letter is beyond ridiculous and borderline offensive in and of itself.
Who decides what meets that criteria? Any mob can decide someone's private, public, or overhead comment means they're banned for life from the Tonys? Absolutely the opposite of any kind of restorative justice.

Apparently when Audra won her Tony for Porgy and Bess the production and her performance where not exactly well received. The production took many liberties and was in fact retitled Gershwins Porgy and Bess. Sondheim wrote a editorial for the times blasting the production. Apparently the theater community got very defensive then about Audra and according to what he said last night, the sentiment won her the not deserved Tony. Will history repeat itself?"
The Tony would be completely deserved if she were to win this year. I know her voice is divisive in this role, but, there's no denying that her acting is top form and she is the best of the bunch in this category. But, Nicole is going to win. She was phenomenal as well, but, I didn't feel like she was actually "acting". She was voguing, posing, glamming it up, and singing her ass off...but...it wasn't really acting. Just my opinion.

This feels a little absurd at this point. Where was the 500-person signed letter when Scott Rudin announced he was returning to the theater?

I wonder how many of them even have a Broadway credit. Courtney Love certainly doesn't.

I appreciate your opinion. But you nailed exactly what my main issue was with Audras performance. She was acting. I did not believe one word out of her. It was a glossy yet empty performance. Just in my opinion. But I do enjoy her.

!!!!!!!!!!!
That open letter is sad and opens the lid on just how arrogant and self involved the so called theater community is. She is right in being done with it.

I don't think he was saying Audra didn't deserve to win for Bess, he was saying it was a nailbiter between Jan Maxwell and Aurda, similar to how its seemingly a nail biter between Nicole and Audra this year...and it was potentially that controversy in the final days that pushed her over the top.

YOURE MENTIONING SUICIDE WITHOUT A TRIGGER WARNING?!!!!!?!
I am drafting up a letter to ban you and sending it to Courtney Love to sign right now.
I have nothing to add except, if my facebook is any indication, calling this a letter by “artists in the Broadway community” is a laughable stretch.

His live feed kept cutting off. So I might have missed some information. I enjoy Bryan immensely. Very charming.
I am embarassed for almost every character in this horrible story. This is not the Theatre World I want to be a part of. This is not the Community it was 40 years ago when I came here. Everyone should be ashamed. No one looks good. Broadway looks awful.
Ill continue to support the shows I want to see and screw the rest of it.

Empty? Mmm...I have to disagree. After she finished "Rose's Turn" my mom turned to me and simply said "Wow". I've seen a bunch of shows with her and that's never happened. We're all entitled to our opinions, and mine may be jaded by the fact that this was my first time seeing Audra on stage and I've only ever seen Bette Milder play the role of Rose on TV, but, I've never really seen anything like her performance. Again, just my opinion.
