if we want to be petty we could count tony nominations for best actress in a musical. Bernadette has 6, Patti has 5 and Audra has 4. Jesse this must be pathetic enough for you to parody I’m sorry but we’re at the after party now of a long and grueling Tony season. I’M NOT READY TO GO HOME

I imagine she can always go and chooses to stay home most of the time.  Was Bernadette there last night?  I did not see her.  She might have.  I bet at their level attending these things is a chore.

I think you’ve misconstrued the words accountability and cancellation. No one wanted her cancelled. We wanted her to be kinder. She has a side eye from her peers regardless to what she does next and she brought that on herself. 

Can’t blame Audra for that. Congrats to Nicole. May we all move on.

I think you might want to re read some of the comments made here and some of the stupid things being said by the so called theater influencers on social media. BTW.. I am all for a cancelation of said theater influencers.  WILL PRODUCERS STOP SENDING THEM FREE STUFF?  They are awful.  And with the exception of trending sounds and video clips from shows.. they don't make anyone buy a ticket.

When I said we I meant me. I don’t speak for everyone and they don’t speak for me. I was vocal about the Patti’s antics and stand firm on everything I said. But I never wanted her to be cancelled, I wanted her to respect Black legends and not belittle them  - even in jest. 

Accountability can be hard for an unchecked ego. If you were a theater influencer I dunno that you’d be making such broad statements. But go off!

Bernadette Peters didn't even attend the 2025 Tony Awards. The only photos we're seeing right now of her regarding the 2025 Tony Awards are those endless side-by-side photos of Cole Escola and her in her ANNIE GET YOUR GUN dress with her 1999 Tony Award.

I didn't get the self congratulatory rush from it I'm sure you got from yours.

No one's forced to read this thread. Anyone who maintains that their personal dislike of it is a reason for it to end is experiencing main character syndrome. Perhaps you suffer from that as well.
