haha nice :P
chicago turns into wicked... haha
Queen Latifah . . . clearly.
In all seriousness:
Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel both have pay or play contracts. I'm just saying. It's fiscally responsible on Universal's part.

Anne Hathaway and Kristen Bell.
It won't happen... but I can dream!

I would love to see Kristen Bell.
Personally, they should get Judi Dench and Jonathan Pryce (as Morrible and The Wizard).
Judi Dench as Morrible would convince me to actually see this in the theatre.
Kristen Bell would help as well.

I think LizzieCurry's attitude is already old too!
I hope they split Elphaba & Glinda into two actress each, the older and younger.
That way we can have Idina and Cheno, keeps the die hards happy...but doesn't come at the cost of being unrealistic with two 40 year old teenagers.
Lea Michelle as a young Elphaba.
Some short girl for Glinda, *insert suggestions*.
Madam Morrible should be a huge name, as should the Wizard.
Emmy Rossum or Anne Hatheway as Nessarose.
James Maresden as older Fiyero?

You have GOT to be kidding me, right?
Kristen Bell or Amy Adams as Glinda
Kat McPhee or Annaliese van der Pol as Elphaba
Already settled....
Meryl Streep and Sally Fields.
America voted!
Kat and Annaliese are not big enough names to carry the movie... even if they are uber talented.

Emmy Rossum should not be allowed anywhere near this movie, or any other musical movie for that matter.
I like the idea of Kristen Bell or Amy Adams as Galinda. What about Zooey Deschanel as Elphaba?
do we REALLY need big named people to carry the movie? i mean, wicked is such a big name show, too many people know it...and all of the damn fan girls will buy tickets no matter who plays the roles

I think Mary Beth Anderson would be amazing as Glinda, and perhaps Kaitlin MacMurphy as Elpheba.

Assuming this movie won't get made for years still...
Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale.
And while we're at it, lets throw Zac Efron in as Fiyero.
Oy, this is painful...
Yes, they need big names.
Rent is a massive show, no big names, it flopped.
Mamma Mia is a well known show, without the headliners, it probably wouldn't have done well either.
Same for Dreamgirls and probably Chicago too.
Can Amy Adams or Kristen Bell even remotely sing the part? No One Mourns The Wicked...Thank Goodness? Not exactly easy tunes to scrape your way through.

I don't know about Amy but from what Kristen sings in Reefer Madness I think she might be able to handle it.

Having said that, I think Kristen Bell would make a better Elphaba... if she can sing it. She might be a blonde, but she has made a career out of playing a kick-ass anti-blonde which is kind of Elphaba's thing. Then again she might be too hot to play Elphaba in a movie.
