I don't think dance kids or ticketbuyers care about who Tiler Peck is? At least not enough to make a substantial impact on the box office. We're not talking about Emma Stone or Glenn Close...
If you dislike Ragtime (one of the great scores of the past 25 years), I think you'll be sorely disappointed in Marie.
They have an album on Spotify of their songs and Jeremey Jordan sings a song from this, and I think Stephanie Block? It’s not great. Reminded me of their work on Anastasia which was dull ( “Still” ) - that said I think “Raining” from Rocky is an underrated gem.
Both songs in the album don't exist in the show anymore! Dancing Still got cut in favor of a duet that's called "Between Us" between Christian (Kyle Harris) and Marie (Tiler Peck), just so Tiler can sing a couple lines, and Ballerina has been cut for something else!
Editing to add that "Marie: Dancing Still" is a much better title than just "Marie" (which it was on the 5th Avenue website for a while), and Little Dancer was constantly mistaken for "Tiny Dancer"/an Elton John song.
The words "Dancing Still" is referenced in the show a couple times (instead of a whole song, which was during the Kennedy Center run), and it makes it clear that the story isn't centered around Marie/Christian or Marie/Degas, but Marie as a person). I think the title fits the show just fine, after seeing it at the 5th, and seems like a nice/appropriate nod to the real Marie Van Goethem, who we don't know much of.

I still think just "Dancing Still" would be a better title.
Ahrens & Flaherty's LITTLE DANCER (it's going back to the original title) will play London this fall, according to the playbill bio of its lead producer, Anita Waxman, directed by Susan Stroman. I have no other info beyond that, but the songs I've heard over the years are lovely.

It feels like there’s been a lot of similar claims or speculation about upcoming productions of this show over the years. It’s been kicking around for so long, which is a big red flag.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
