Anyone know when this will be streamed now?

They just announced September 13 at 8pm ET: https://mcctheater.org/miscast20/

I'm just trying to figure out who the rest of the lineup could be

6 seems like Leslie Odom Jr. for sure, and 9 reminds me of Isaac Powell and 12 of Brian d'Arcy James. 14 looks like a possible Newsie and 2 is probably a jukebox role, but 1 is really stumping me.

1 reminds me of Beetlejuice.

1 looks like Edna & Tracy

Agree Tag.

7 looks like Elizabeth in Young Frankenstein

#6

2 looks like Gloria Estefan (On Your Feet) to me.

I hope Katrina Lenk performs.

So several of the OBC of Hairspray have joined. Does that imply that they are doing a group number? How are they going to do that individually zooming from home?
#9

Miscast

^Like every other group-from-home Zoom number of the past 6 months?

I though it was live though. I understand how they can prerecord an elaborate multi location number but the logistics of doing that live must be challenging.

Anyone happen to know if the video will remain on YouTube for awhile or is this one night only?

MCC responded that it will be online for three days after I asked, which I shouldn’t have needed to do. I sure wish that all event producers would make it standard to include information on whether programs are live only or staying online, and if staying up, for how long.

So did anyone else watch this? My favorite highlight was Isaac Powell's meltingly beautiful rendition of ''On My Own'' from ''Les Miserables.'' I also loved how he dedicated it to ''anybody's who's quarantining alone, who doesn't have a loved one nearby ...this song's for you.''

Norbert was brilliant but Heather Headley was my favorite with that beautiful tribute to Jason Raize. Really had me in tears.

The Ingrid Michaelson and Lauren Ridloff's duet of You Will Be Found was gorgeous and left me in tears.

Josh Henry can truly do no wrong and his Tomorrow was stunning and really lifted my heart.

Rob McClure was hilarious and truly is just an absolute joy to watch.

After seeing Adrienne sing Before The Parade Passes By, I want a revival with Audra as Dolly, Brian Stokes Mitchell as Horace, Adrienne as Irene, Samantha Williams as Minnie, Christian Dante White as Cornelius, and Jordan Fisher as Barnaby.

Oh yeah that “You Will Be Found” was perfect. Gonna go watch that again now. :)

I'm sorry: but Jackie Hoffman and Harvey Fierstein during the opening "Telephone Hour" made my gut myself laughing. They didn't do anything overly comedic, but it just put me into such a happy mood.

^ The Hairspray OBC doing Telephone Hour in general brought the biggest smile to my face that I've had in months.

Brilliant casting choices! They would take alllll my money.

Joshua Henry should be in all the roles. Every last one. Stunning!

I've been saying it for a while now, but I would pay a ridiculous amount of money to see Joshua Henry play Bobby in Company.

Oh my god, I just thought of him singing "Being Alive". YES!
