I need a quote for my yearbook and was wondering if anyone had any good quotes from plays or musicals (or just about theatre)?
Thanks
Here are some of my favorites:
"Live! Live! Live! Life's a banquet, and most poor sons of bitches are starving to death!" - "Mame
"If you know what you want than you go and you find it and you get it" - "Into the Woods"
"Life is just a bowl of cherries" - "Good News!" (or you could make the case for "Fosse")
I keep thinking of really bad ones. Like can you imagine if someone's quote was "Never forget, and never forgive"? LOL!
Then there's always your favorite and mine
"Defy Gravity!"
If you are into "Sweeney Todd," you will appreciate one of my favorite quotes, one which usually goes unrecognized by most people:
"How many verses ARE there?"
:)
That's "How many BELLS are there?"
"Whatever happened to class?"
I did, "If you can know where you're going, you've gone" from Sunday in the Park with George

I chose between:
"I may be small, but I've got giant plans to shine as brightly as the sun." -Little Women
and
"Tell me, what's the challenge if you never try? So watch me fly, 'cause I'm not afraid." -Songs for a New World

Kinda cliche but mine was
"Forget regret or life is yours to miss"
RENT
"Opportunity is not a lengthy visitor."
"No knot unties itself."
"The greatest prize often lies at the end of the thorniest path."
(basically all of 1st or 2nd midnight-Into the Woods)
