The last picture is literally SUCH a dead giveaway....... Ugh. I mean... I guess we can't pretend NBC cares about the show at all... but still. SO OBVIOUS.
Ha I was just going to post that. I went on a rather horrid date last night, with a guy who loved Smash, so he was baffled by me saying Hit List had no plot. The link he sent to my phone was http://smash.wikia.com/wiki/Hit_List but it seems to be the same.
And after reading... Kyle deserves the halo Phyllis has anointed him with--how in the Hell could someone shoehorn those songs into that mess of a plot?
And doing a rock take on Hamlet, no disrespect to Rockabye Hamlet, would have at least given most audiences something to gather from the plot. What a mess.
Not that I am holding out hope but Playbill.com publishes incorrect information to the website all the time. They are not very thorough with fact checking.
There is of course no reason to hold out hope however NBC has not officially confirmed its cancellation and all reports stating otherwise are just untrue. That being said, yeah it's cancelled.

We must have different Gods. My God said "do to others what you would have them do to you". Your God seems to have said "My Way or the Highway".
Like the show it's contained in, even Hit List strains all levels of credibility. There's not a single person in the world besides Jesse that could write a successful song for Nina?
So it officially cancelled? I am reading "Series Finale" on many ads..."Series Finale, May 26th". But, I have not read an official press release saying it is...
On Sunday, I believe, NBC will announce the official line-up (probably including mid-season shows like SMASH has been). I think if the show is renewed it should be the post-Super Bowl show if it's on NBC.
I'm curious what the writers are going to do now that they're done offing bottoms.
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”

**possible spoliers** Over on the Smash wiki under 'Hit List', there are pictures of the Broadway marquee and signs for the show. Under the title in one of tha pictures, it says something then 'Karen Cartwright' under it, and something els next to it with the name 'Jimmy Collins' under it and then directed by Derek Willis, book by Kyle Bishop and then Jimmy's name again under 'Music and Lyrics'. So we can assume Jimmy wins his role back before Broadway. In another picture, there are headshots on another sign in the order of Karen, Jimmy, Ana and Sam, so I'm assuming Sam takes the role of 'JB'.
