Eric- I agree, always thought it should be a "soap" with Broadway backdrop.
Seems The Voice will lead into SMASH tomorrow night.
Doesnt that kinda just glisten with irony? LOL
In New York, The Voice, Go On, The New Normal, then SMASH @ 10
Oh I might be mistaken, I thought The Voice was 2 hours tomorrow as well.

Debra Messing has signed to do a new pilot for next season....I think that means Smash is cancelled.
Not necessarily, you'd be surprised how many people do pilots and they're shows are still on.
How many are them are the leading performer in both the pilot and the show? Or is there a contigency in the contract that the pilot would not be picked up if Smash is renewed?
Damon Wayans Jr. was in the pilot for New Girl when it was assumed that Happy Endings would not be renewed. Then, when it was, he had to go back to Happy Endings, and his New Girl character was only seen in the pilot.
I know Ben McKenzie is still on Southland it'll most likely be renewed and he just show a couple of pilots, so he's basically second position to those. Same thing with Tate Donovan, it seems NBC is going to give Deception another go but he filmed some pilots.

With Tom and Julia having so much drama between them, I could see the show progressing without one or both of them. I mean, more than one team writes Broadway musicals. Tom and Julia do not define the show SMASH.
YOU GUYS.......... SMASH is cancelled. I'm sorry. Josh Safran said the finale was constructed as a series finale. It's moving to Saturdays. Not to mention it is just not good (that isn't something I'm happy to say out loud. I love Smash). That being said, if you're still holding out hope for a season three you need to reevaluate your perception of reality.

I kind of find this hard to believe especially when McPhee been supportive of Hilty. The users at her fan website are calling this article rubbish and completely false.

Here's what she has been saying about Hilty lately.
"Annnd @meganhilty first music video for her first single! Love you!"
"To my amazing friend @meganhilty, break a leg tonight performing your show at Carnegie Hall!!! It's amazing. #dreamscometrue so proud!"

Well, it's not like the series doesn't have characters to spare, they could get rid of half of the cast, and it would still work. Go Katherine, I never liked you anyway!!
That goes for you too Debra!! Just please don't cancel the show!!!
Could it be, that the show is not following right after this season, on purpose on NBC's side so that if it didn't get good rating, they could (kinda) blame on the weak lead-ins?
If it followed The Voice and didn't get the ratings, they couldn't blame anything but the show itself, and that wouldn't look good for Spielberg...?
Following Goon and TNN, few people are blaming these shows...
That just came to my mind and made me go "huh".

People already think Go On and The New Normal are terrible. Blaming them for Smash's low numbers would just be kicking them while they are down.

I really hate Jimmy.
Don't we all.
I have the same negative reaction every time I see or hear Lea Michele's name.
