"Can anyone find Marc Shaiman's FB page with the Hilty's "Don't Forget Me?"
If you look at the post above mine, there is a post by kyl2fong2 (I hope I got that right) and he posted a link to the page that you were curious about.
I love SMASH and all the Broadway stars in it but this week cracked me up. They had an opening night party at the Hotel Carter? Have any of you been inside that hotel? It is 100 a night and rated the dirtiest in NYC.
They have hookers, fleas, bed bugs, mice and rats. I must say I had a giggle fest this week. As an event planner for almost 10 years that was about the funniest episode ever. No one has parties at the HOTEL CARTER. Broadway opening nights would never occur there. An Off Off Off Broadway show would never have an event there.
I do love the show but wish they had someone who knows Broadway write real events. An opening party would happen at THE Edison Ballroom, Tony's Di Napoli, and even John's Pizza over THE HOTEL CARTER. Who ever wrote that part is not from Broadway and does not know NYC.
I did love the rest of the show especially the part when Marc played the piano.
Very funny. But seriously, I used to run a network in hotels and the Carter was one of our hotels. The hookers would post ads on the kiosk and I had to go and have our machine removed.
The place was gross. I was afraid to be there during the day. It was a hell hole. Seeing that the party took place there made me crack up. I could not stop laughing for several minutes and every time I think about a fancy party at the Hotel Carter I crack up again.
It is the worst hotel in NYC. Why on earth did they pick that spot? So odd!
I did a little research to see how Smash did in the Live +7 DVR ratings and total viewers for previous weeks when it was on Tuesday. To my surprise, Smash was at or near the top of the list every week for having the highest percentage increases in the 18-49 rating for all shows during that entire week. Take a look at these numbers:
On average, Smash had the biggest percentage increases in total viewers and 18-49 ratings than any other show on TV...regardless of the day or time slot.
