NYC Theater and Broadway Figures found in Epstein Schedules & Correspondences

Hi all! I am searching through the new batch of Epstein documents to see if there is anything related to major players in the theater industry. Here are some of the mentions I have found so far, please tell me in the comments if there is more you have found. (This is just a research dump.)

I am certainly not alleging any of these people are involved with Epstein's sex crimes, but I think it is important to review how the rich and well-connected institutions and people in our industry also intersect with powerful people who exploit children and young women. You can see in some of these chains how these powerful people take advantage of their connections with famous folks in the industry.

In some cases, like with Interlochen and various dance studios in the city, Epstein may have exploited these connections and proximity to the industry in order to lure victims into ‘private dance lessons’.

Can I say one prevailing thing that I've seen in these emails? So many of them can't type for ****. We give the youth **** for all their short hand, but my god.

Epstein was a monster of historic scope and I think everyone who knew of, enabled, and participated in his crimes should be exposed and punished.

That being said- he was also an enormously wealthy and well-connected socialite, so of course he had innumerable interactions with notable people, most of them innocuous. I really don't think listing every single person who had a documented interaction with him is particularly helpful.

But you don't understand, Kad. There's a picture of them at a public event where thousands of photos are taken. So everyone who has ever taken a photo with him is a close personal friend and I'm going to use those photos to whack people on social media. I am very intelligent.

I know kids in my senior class that can't read, yet they can write better than most people in these emails.

Yeah, reading these emails actually hurts my brain because I just remember the rise of texting and how Millenials got their whipping for shorthand and yet there is this.

It’s like when I write a well articulated email at work and an upper manager responds like it’s a text message.

Boomers love incomprehensible shorthand in digital correspondence. The amount of “pls” and “thx” I received over the last five years from my former landlord (who is a journalist and professor at Columbia) was, frankly, upsetting. JUST WRITE OUT THE FULL WORD!

A lot of these happened in the mid 2010s... after he was already exposed as a pedophile. Going to Alan Cumming's dressing room? Doesn't seem like much. But for TFANA and Julie Taymor (who was also hanging out with Woody Allen) there's very little excuse for these people still interacting with him to the level that they did. His true colors were very clear by then.

The most hilariously awkward example I witnessed was a co-worker whose father in his late 60's thought LOL meant "lots of love." He sent out a mass email to family members when his mother ( my co-worker's grandmother) passed away signing off LOL. For the next hour my co-worker was answering outraged phone calls from  his siblings & other family living on the other side of the country.  He'd see who was calling, pick up,  & before they could say anything say " Dad thinks it means 'lots of love.'"

I’m actually surprised there aren’t more theatre connections of producers hitting him up for investments, or nonprofits courting him for big-dollar donations like TFANA did. A lot of these institutions are desperate enough that they’ll go to *anyone* for money — especially pre MeToo.
