Why do I feel the cast will be:
Christine: Rachel Zegler
Phantom: Jonathan Bailey,
Raoul: Harry Styles or Timothee Chalamet
I wish they would adapt and do something great instead of this crap, like Wicked suffered because of it as have a great many films. It doesn't produce films like Wizard of Oz or Sound of Music, that stand the test of time. Even Chicago or Moulin Rouge are lasting well done films. But man, unfortunately, Webber gets so many bad casting ideas.

If this were to happen, I’d be fascinated by what someone like Robert Eggers or Guillermo Del Toro could do with it.

More likely Jackman and Ziegler which is just as a depressing thought.
I'm more interested in the fact that Del Toro wants to do a film adaption of (non musical) Phantom. Hopefully we would finally get a decent adaption of the book.

Andrew Lloyd Webber previously suggested that he'd like to see "somebody who is in their early 40s" play the Phantom.

Actually could see Jake Gyllenhal getting the Phantom role ... Jonathan Bailey as Raoul ... Audra as Carlotta. Don't love the idea of Zegler as Christine.

Jackman is a bit of poison at the moment. While I like him, he’s not right for this role!
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.

I thought this was supposed to be an anime adaptation that was announced last year that's being produced in association with Qubic Pictures.
