I’m so upset they aren’t selling Tony Award tickets this year. I finally have enough money for it. Does anyone know what happened?
Updated On: 4/30/18 at 11:12 PMLots of people needed tickets within the industry. (There's another threa about this.)
Wow, no tickets at all? What an incredible bummer for people that really wanted to go. This season has sucked for the most part, but it's unfortunate no one gets to go.

The link posted in the attached thread seems to indicate a limited amount of tickets will go on sale May 15th, could just not be updated though:

Now the site says a limited number of tickets will go on sale May 15? Very strange.

No, it’s not a lack of updating because even earlier this morning it said that no tickets would be sold.

This is a completely new post, not a lack of updating. The original on sale date was May 1st, this states May 15th. They probably sorted out tickets on their end and realized they had room to sell some after all.
Breaking the old rule of "if you have to ask, it's too expensive," does anyone know what tickets went for in past years when they were available to the general public?

Mine last year was $675 including fees. From what I recall there were two different pricing groups depending on which level you were in. Mine was the more expensive one because every time I clicked on the cheaper level (which I believe was $200 cheaper) it said it wasn't available. Finally I just grabbed what I could and tried not to think about it. It was a great seat though, in the 2nd mezz level. The 3rd/top mezz level was supposedly the less expensive ones.

They range in price from around $200 - $850
The cheaper tickets, as you can probably guess, go VERY quickly, and it’s one of those situations where you need to be at a computer ready to go the second they go on sale and then just try to click as quickly as you can.
So glad they are doing TONY ticks after all. Just marked my calendar

Aaaaand the price range is $431.00 - $1,451.00.
Maybe next year.
I got one! They went really fast - within about 2-3 minutes they were gone and it said sold out... but then as i kept reloading, singles started popping up 1 or 2 at a time, then they would be gone faster than I could click. I kept at it for about 10 more minutes and finally got one. I guess people had added multiples to their carts and then would release them.
Oh well! So excited!

My daughter and I are going! I couldn't get us seats together, but we are only one row and 5 seats apart. Not too bad. :)

Would you possibly be able to link me? When I search the site nothing comes up.
Wow prices have really increased over the years! I went a few times in the late 90’s and tickets were an even $100
