Sooo...out of the Best Musical noms, only one got half decent reviews? Hmm.
I'm shocked and saddened by Passing Strange's snub...and with both ITH and Glory Days being ineligible.
Hope this isn't a sign of things to come!
I thought Passing Strange was ineligible as well..

Princeton, Xanadu got raves almost across the board and has this in the bag!
Exciting!
I'm amazed that Cry-Baby & Young Frankenstein both got nominated!!
Passing Strange opened off-Broadway in late May, too late to be considered in any 06/07 awards.
At least it got a score nom so far....
I think the fanadus can be optimistic. I'm not too thrilled that Young Frank got all those nods, but that doesn't mean it will win them.
Where are the acting nominations listed?
Cry Baby and YF for best musical? Yikes, talk about a lack of choices.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but Xanadu should win that award.
Jeez, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN is getting nominated for everything.
Go 'Young Frankenstein' Go! 10 nominations!
After all the bitterness about this show on this board i hope to god it wins! (Personally i want 'A Catered Affair' to win!)
Xanadu is actually very well done. I think it is clever, well-written and well executed. I didn't think I was going to like it but I've seen it many times and continue to love it. Good for Xanadu! I hope it wins.
Amy Morton being left out of Best Actress in a Play is an absolute travesty.
Boyd Gaines...Best ACTOR?
Roger Bart?!?!
(Yay Alice Ripley!!)
Rauul!
Maybe Morton is considered Featured...who knows?! Gaines got a Best Actor nod and Herbie is clearly and always has been a featured role.
Ugh...I can't believe Jenna Russell got snubbed.
Go Harriet Harris!!
But I am surprised no Testa/Hoffman.
Perhaps Amy Morton is best featured for the Outer Critics'. Also, I can't believe Faith Prince slipped in past Jenna Russell, as did Alice Ripley. Jenna totally deserved that nomination.
And is there a best book of a musical category?
where is Jenna Russell on that Best Actress in a Musical list?
Morton is not in Featured. She was unjustly snubbed.

Nice! David Pittu was GREAT in Is He Dead? I'm surprised Norbert didn't get a nom though.
Entire list up on playbill.com now.
Wow, those featured musical categories are gross!
Tony Yazbeck is fine in gypsy, but he's in that show for all of 5 minutes.
Cheyenne Jackson being snubbed for Xanadu is a crying shame.
Roger Bart for Young Frankenstein!? What the heck.
I hope Christopher Fitzgerald atleast gets a supporting actor nomination for his work in YF.
I hope Xanadu beats YF in the Best New Musical category.
