Well, as you well remember Rath, not all of the critics (including, apparently, several members of the OCC) raved for McGovern's performance -- they liked her singing, but some had problems with her acting.

Ramirez, O'Hara and Gleason are all probably locks for the Drama Desks and the Tonys. Jan Maxwell is always great (though I haven't seen Chitty yet) so she'll likely be a contender along with Berry, McGovern, LaManna, and maybe Keller -- we'll see.

I agree that BKLYN should have at least been nominated for costumes. Im sorry but if ASU and CCBB could be nominated for Musical before Bee then BKLYN should have been nominated for a few things.

Im happy for Jerry Mitchell, though who got two nods.

Margo, I had forgotten about Maxwell, the only member of the replacement cast of DANCING AT LUGHNASA who deserved to be there. And she can sing, too. I haven't seen CHITTY, but I'm sure she's formidable competition.

I think I'd be less upset about McGovern had Gleason, in a much "lighter" role, had not been nominated.

Well, at least the OCCs got a few things right nomination wise last year including giving Carole Shelley a nod as well as Hunter and Kerry for LSOH and the show itself for revival.

I think that "The Pillowman" will beat "Doubt".

I am praying that Carla Gugino wins, but I won't hold my breath.

Well, they lost all credibility when they gave Frank Langella-terrible in a terrible play-Best Actor over Kevin Kline and Simon Russell Beale.

And what was with Anika not getting nominated? Hooey!

Ramona Keller should have at least gotten a nod...shame.

Sorry Rath, but I said back in my review that I didn't think she was that great. Singing, yes, but acting? Questionable.

I pretty much agree with most of the nominations.

I assume they didn't get to see Applegate, and that's why she wasn't nominated - she only joined the show a week ago.

I'm thrilled to see Lenox for DOUBT nominated - I hope she wins.

I'm also thrilled to see that all 3 SPAMALOT men weren't nominated. However, I would have nominated Azaria and Pierce over Curry anyday.

Garry Beach robbed? Not so much - he's God-awful in LA CAGE.
