Found a listing on Amazon called "Harry's Broadway Volume 1"
According to them, it's a double disc: the first being the cast recording of Pajama Game, the 2nd being, well, you read it:
"This special Harry Connick Jr. release features two distinct albums, packaged in a unique slip case.
One album includes the original cast recordings from the Tony nominated Broadway hit "Pajama Game" featuring duets with co-star Kelli O'Hara.
The second album includes new recordings with Kelli O'Hara from "Thou Shalt Not" featuring "Light In The Piazza." All of these songs were written, arranged and orchestrated by Harry Connick, Jr. Other famous Broadway duets are also featured on this release."
Release date is May 2.

Well, the original production was nominated for Tony's...this article does not make that distinction. Therefor it's a true statement. Oddly put...but true.

aigt. but wasnt the old production a Tony-winner? it would have sounded even better...
oh well
:)
Since when is "The Light in the Piazza" a song from "Thou Shalt not"?

So, wait, I'm confused. Is Pajama Game getting a full cast recording, with the whole cast? or is this one it, just featuring duets? I'm very confused.
And good for Kelli O'Hara! Having her name and voice associated with Harry can only be a good thing for her career!

yeah, i love kelli! i cant wait to hear more of her voice! so talented...
but is there anyone who can clear this up? i really hope they have a full-cast recording, not just a harry recording...

As much as I would love a full cast recording, it's quite obvious why they would opt for just a Harry recording. If it does happen this way, look on the bright side: Kelli is getting recorded too!

yeah...would they still include her PAJAMA GAME songs, or just random songs or duets? i seriously still hope they keep with a full cast recording, but as long as kelli does the cd... will she still be doing a solo album?
wow, confusion
It's a two disc set. One disc includes the cast album and the other is an album with showtunes on it sung by Connick.

Wait until the official announcements but I would not be surprised if it was just a glitch.
ie there is a double disc set available but the cast recording and Harry album will be available as seperate items.
This will just be a way of selling more cds to his fan base. Lets wait a while and see if seperate listings appear on amazon etc
oooo! I can't wait for this to come out! The cast is so talented.

I hope this was just poorly written and no one was trying to imply that Harry Connick Jr. wrote "Light in the Piazza." This seems as if no one proofread it before it was released. Oh my.
If you look carefully at the art work that accompanies that oddly worded release, it says the first disc is the cast recording of Pajama Game, and the second disc is Harry & Kelli singing songs from Thou Shall Not. I bet that release meant to say something like "Kelli O'Hara, from Broadway's Light In The Piazza..."
The full cast has already gone into the studio and recorded the show. So no fears everyone there will be a full cast recording. It will be accompanied with another disc that features Harry and his stylings of songs from the show. I hadn't heard of him doing other songs than the ones in the show, but who knows. Only time will tell.

Yeah, Though Shalt not was really crying out for a second recording...eech.
Very interesting. Here's a link.

Why do we need another Thou Shalt Not? Talk about forced advertising.
I was thinking about this and, while it screams VANITY PROJECT, I am quite happy that Pajama revival is going to get a cast recording. So kudos to Harry in that regard.
