The crib never had any impact on the show whatsoever. It made an appearance for less than 10 seconds and for no reason. The music box and the music behind is enough for the audience to understand she's remembering Gabe. I was so glad to finally see the crib gone last night and I hope it stays that way.
If you knew nothing about the show, I would say that you shouldn't listen and go into the show knowing as little as possible, but clearly you've seen past incarnations, so it wouldn't ruin any plot points or anything of the sort for you. I wouldn't be able to hold off listening either haha.
I'm going to see N2N this weekend and was wondering if I will miss anything sitting in either the 1st row mezz or right row C 4? I haven't gotten to see it at the Booth yet, so I thought I'd ask before I buy tickets. I wish they would release tickets to opening night, though. I really want to go. But I cannot wait to see it again! Thanks!!
(I asked about opening night tix on Saturday and the guy said at that point he didn't think they were going to have any to sell. He said check back a couple of days before and IF they were getting any it would probably be then.)

jordangirl, out of curiosity, if you've already seen it over thirty times (including twice in previews already) and are going a third time on Sunday, why go again on Thursday? Isn't that a little much?
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
This thread is doing things to my mind! I was talking about two of my friends a few minutes ago (Catherine and Alice), and I just realized now that I accidentally referred to my friend Alice as Alice Ripley instead of by her real last name...

And it's not like I'm seeing it to the exclusion of other shows. I see other things too. But this is my favorite, and if I choose to support it, why does it matter?

jordangirl, no need to get defensive as if I was attacking you; I wasn't. I was simply asking you an innocent question.
And I apologize for saying you've seen it over thirty times. You've seen it twenty six times, as you've said publicly. My correction.

The bottom line is, I love this show and it hits something for me that I need. I can't pinpoint it more specifically. I do see other things as well ~ I just choose to support this show by repeat business. I believe in it and want to support it and the cast as much as I can. (And before anyone asks, yes, I have paid full price for a couple of Broadway-run tickets...TDF once, the $60 discount for one and my family's tickets, and this will be the first time I've rushed it)

Ok, I have yet to see the show I am contemplating making a trip up in May if I can get my tax return or some money by then! But I must say... the cast recording is THE best purchase I have made in a LONG time... LOVE IT! Crossing my fingers for Best Musical and Best Actress and Best New Music (if not more than that!)
So, I saw the N2N for the first time since the 2nd Stage run today, and I was blown away. A lot of things really threw me, and I loved all of the changes they made. They really seem well thought out and for the better, especially the changes to Henry. He's enormously more likeable now; he seemed a little annoying at 2nd Stage. The ending was beautiful and touching and much tighter than it used to be, although Dan still sings a few too many ballads for my taste. Aaron has Gabe down perfectly, though, Alice is fierce as always, and I really related to Natalie; her character seems more fleshed out as well. Was there ever a song list in the playbill? I seem to remember one, but it wasn't in the one I got today...Anyways, the whole cast was so lovely and wonderful at the stagedoor.
That being said, I know some of you here are going to be at the Booth multiple times in the next few weeks, so as a favor, could someone possibly PM/email me when they restock the shirts? I love the new logo so much, and the merch guy said they only had XL shirts left. I'm a small Thanks!

The rush line this morning was the longest I had seen for a weekday, longer than the line for the first performance. I got there at 9:15 and was the 17th or 18th in line of about 28. They ran out of rush tickets, so they gave me some side orchestra tickets
That's great that they offered more seats instead of just cutting off the rush. I've had rush experiences where they offer seats that they normally don't offer for rush because the rush seats sold out and experiences where I was just turned away after the rush seats sold out.
I'm guessing that the recording probably won't be at the theatre until later this month, but can someone check and see if they are selling any new merchandise: magnet, mug, etc? When I saw it, they were only selling window cards and t-shirts. Thanks!
