I also said **** it and bought a rear mezz ticket. I've never been to a Broadway opening and I wanted to see the show again, so I figured $46 isn't that bad for both experiences.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
yeah. I had an oppurtunity to go the Exit the King opening I had to work. I made sure to take off work on the 15th JUST IN CASE an opportunity to go to this opening night arose.
I wish I didn't live in MA or someone would volunteer to go with me from home. I have been dying to go to N2N Broadway opening since 2ST. Sadly I doubt I'll make it there.
Its all that I have been listening to !! (Although, I have the "Hairspray" (movie) score in my head because it was just on HBO.) But headin to the show in a few hours, so it will be on again !!!
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
steven, he was a cast member at NYMF and assistant director at 2ST, but was no longer involved with the show once it moved to Arena Stage. Updated On: 4/11/09 at 01:46 PM
I wanna get tickets so bad for opening night. I am having the hardest time trying to find someone to go with! I was just wondering if you get tickets for opening night is it a very formal night? I usually wear nice jeans and a nice top to the theater but I'm assuming you have to dress more formal for an opening night show? Thanks just in case I find someone in time.
i have been listening to it constantly too! i listen to my ipod at work all day too. the only time i listened to anything else was the hair actors fund once yesterday.
i got a $46 opening night seat as well! i'm mezz-H 112. hope to see some of you guys there. i've never been to an opening night before so this should be fun.

It depends on the show, but for n2n I think jeans and a top are just fine! Unless you're a celebrity and are going to be photographed of the red carpet or something, there really isn't any reason to get dressed up any differently.
I wish I lived in NYC because I'd so be buying an opening night ticket and I haven't seen the show since 2ST. The middle of the week, however, is not a great time for me to get time off and head down from Boston. Have fun and I expect to see reviews! :)
