Quick Rush Update:
I just rushed on Saturday I got their at 6:15 and was 4th in line (first for the Mat), The first people in line got their at 5:30. & they started giving out wristbands at like 7:40, funny thing with the wristbands was their was a group of ppl who, once they got wristbands they left and came back just before 10, I was wondering is that allowed? Also by like 8:15 the line was more than full and people were still lining up. so I got AA101-102 for the Mat which were AWESOME Seats, I got chills and was shaking the show was so amazing. It's a GREAT show and totally worth the wait

I saw the Sunday evening show on June 21st and I loved it. I have never been so moved by a show that I really looked at a certain situation in my life! It is a heavy piece and all the actors are wonderful in the show! The whole cast was present and did an amazing job. Alice Ripley just blew me away. She sang the score perfectly. I never heard her go flat once like I have been hearing from other people...There was a cute little blooper in the show and the actors recovered very well from it. It was right after Diana was throwing away her pills into a waste basket and was about to give the basket to Gabe and they dropped it. You could hear the pills fly all over the place. They both just looked at each other and Diana said "Well THAT wasn't a very good idea" Then they started to clean up the mess and were laughing through it all but they got it together pretty quickly and went on with the show!
After seeing next to normal I finally see what all the hype is about and they deserve it. What a great show!!!

Yes, 30...order it from Sh-k-Boom. Much cheaper.

coolkid/tking ~ As I replied on the rush thread...
Is it not looked favorably upon for people to get the wrist bands and then leave as a) it makes the line appear much shorter for those coming up after the initial distribution and b) god forbid something happen to prevent someone from getting back in time for the box office to open, there could be massive problems with them screaming that they had a wrist band and should get a ticket. In fact, the one Sunday I rushed, they opted not to give out the wrist bands until almost 11 to prevent that mass exodus and the confusion that had reportedly happened the Sunday before. The guy distributing the wrist bands told people that they were strongly encouraged NOT to leave other than a run to the bathroom if absolutely necessary, but short of having someone stand there to TAKE their wristbands if they opt to leave for a meal, there doesn't really appear to be a way to totally prevent people from leaving if they're determined.

Quick question, anyone know if any cast members are on vacation or anything the week of July 12th?
Trying to get tickets for the Sunday matinee.

Does anyone know when they took down the poster that was in Times/Duffy Square? I noticed yesterday that it wasn't there anymore.

I want to say that was about 2, maybe 3 weeks ago or so?

It was a few weeks ago. Every time I see the replacement sign, I text to tell the city I HATE the tacky yard sale Times Square has become. FOLDING LAWN CHAIRS? Seriously? TACKY!!!

The billboard was only up there for like a month or two. I can't remember the last time a billboard for a Broadway show was up and down so fast in Times Square. Weird...

I think it went down right after (if not the Monday after) the Tonys.

I'm assuming Elphaba3 means the billboard I posted about in Times Square.

I would hope that's what she's talking about! I assume it's so the city can find out if we like yard sale central ~ sadly they don't have an essay option. Red Steps ~ I actually love them. The tacky lawn chairs? HATE!

The lawn chairs make me laugh. New York spent all that money on those two new stadiums and they put ugly and tacky lawn chairs in time square. I'll never understand it.

And they're already breaking. Some up beyond Toys R Us, the weaving along the bottom is busted through.

Let's face it though: for now this is only temporary. At the end of the summer they are going to evaluate how it has worked. I can't imagine they would spend too much money on "furniture" for a possible temporary situation. If they KEEP it that way, I'm assuming that a better long term option will be investigated.

Probably what they've got down in the pedestrian area where Broadway crosses 5th. They have metal tables and chairs.

Sorry, I meant the billboard. I thought it was strange that they took it down right after the Tonys.
