I don't care that this is Off-Topic. It is so important that we need to have it on every board. You can post thoughts, fears, words of hope, words of wisdom, or just anything you want. Having many friends in London working and/or studying, I want to give my thoughts and prayers to everyone in the city on this very tragic day. Love, Andrew
Has anybody realized the've been incrediably lucky to only lose 40 people? Not that Im softning what happend, but the potential for loss was huge, and so far, it hasn't been as bad as it could have been.
That being said, prayers go out the the families of the victims.

London is the greatest place on Earth. Her people are strong and will not be deterred by this disgusting act of violence. My friends and I send all Londoners our hopes of quick recovery and our deep love.
" ...the happiness in the tune convinces me that I'm not afraid."
I send out my prayer for everyone in London too!! I hope that there are no more fatalities than have already been reported. I don't understand how people can have such a disreguard for human life!
Be sure and tell your family and friends how much you love them!
My prayers are sent out to all of those in London, and my look of disgust goes out to those who felt the need to cause such chaos. I pray that nobody on the west end board was hurt.
My prayers and good will and wishes for healing and peace to all Londoners, victims of this disgusting and barbaric behavior, and all of their families. God's protection to all in harm's way.

thanks for posting this topic. i'm glad this can be brought up. my prayers go out to those in London and for any terrorist attacks that may come in the future. hopefully with our amazing military, there wont be any more attacks.
my partner and i have such fresh memories of our trip to LONDON a few months ago. today has been a day of many tears in our house. prayers for all. WE LOVE YOU, LONDON. continue to be strong.
I cant speak for all of London and I just speak for myself as an individual who loves Broadway and New York who comes on here alot, I just wanted to say thanks for your kind words. I think London and New York share a very special bond - not just because of theatre - I think we've always had a bit of a love affair going on, I know I love NYC and I remember how truly and sincerely devastated we all were and indeed all of the UK was - for you - on 9/11. Its nice to hear your concern and good wishes.
Things are crazy here at the moment but we, like you, are a tough bunch and are not going to let these people beat us. Its a great thing when we see all people today - black, white, Christian, Moslem, Jew, gay, straight and so on and on all coming together as Londoners to say we wont be intimidated out of this city, our home. As our Mayor Ken Livingstone said today -
"In the coming weeks look at our airports, seaports and railway stations. People come to live in London so they can live the life they choose. They flee you because you tell them how to live and no matter how many people you kill, you will fail."
That made me cry. Today has made me remember of course how important it is for everyone to stick together - I know there are issues about Iraq, war, 9/11, George Bush etc as someone inappropriately mentioned above - and they should be addressed - I just don't think today, as people realise they have lost loved ones, is the time to do that.
I don't think it is "inappropriate" to ask for prayers for innocent civilians in Iraq who have been killed, anymore than it is to pray for those harmed today in London. What happened today in London is appalling, but so is the ongoing violence in Iraq. Why can't we pray for all the victims, not just some of them? Or should we have seperate threads asking folks to pray for Iraqis?
Thank you WestEndBoy, for taking the time to write us on this dark day.
All my prayers to London today, and to all the victims of senseless violence in the world.

I agree completely with you about praying for innocent Iraqis - I do - I don't value our lives over theirs - but I am not going to get into a political discussion about what my views on the 'war on terror etc' are here because this thread is a condolence thread started so you can express your sympathies about whats happened in London. If you want to start a political thread then please do but that isnt what this is, i dont think. Maybe Im wrong?
I feel you've posted to make a political point and I just think today, on this condolence thread, it is just not the time or place.
I have a special affection for London as I have visited that lovely city yearly, bar one or two, since the late 80's.
This is a terrible tragedy and I would also like to express my sympathy to our British friends. They are a strong and gritty people and will rally around the way of life that they believe in.
