Either way, that petition sucks, and while I'm very sad that Rent is closing, I don't see the use in making pathetic last-ditch efforts to try and save a show that has no chance of being saved.

I will ask at the box office when I go in tomorrow if it's extending. I asked on Thursday and they said the last show is June 1st

There's a full page ad in tomorrow's New York Times Arts and Leisure section advertising the closing date. Not that that really means anything, just thought I'd share.
