Technically, Adam's involvement with AIDA totals to about *five* years, not three. It's always strange to think that he's only done three shows, and yet is so... well, relatively well-known. High-profile shows they were, though.
Yes. Jesse L. Martin. Because not only was he wonderful in the film, but he would be able to believably play the role on stage. Plus, he'd replace Destan Owens, who is arguably the weakest link among the leads in the current Broadway cast.
NO WAY! and I think the OBC is the best cast ive seen of Rent, but as artists, who wants to do the same thing over and over again. Eventually your life of creativity becomes empty. I am more excited to see what the future holds for these underrated talents
to those who were talking about tracie taking joanne, etc, i think for her to take the role after auditioning 9 times and then landing the MOVIE, wouldnt be going sideways, shed be going BACKWARDS. shes proven to all those who rejected her for the show that she can do it. and i think she should go on to do big things, original new things, and make them sorry they never cast her in the show. cause they probably already are
i cant wait to see what all these talented people have in store for us in the future. i think resting on their laurels is the last thing they want to do. its time to respectfully put rent away as a chapter in their lives and move on.
you may know what you need but to get what you want better see that you keep what you have
I love the OBC so much, but they she be allowed to move onto other creative endeavours...I would, however, LOVE to see Anthony in Feeling Electric...let's hope that it gets picked up!
There is only one you for all time. Fearlessly be yourself. Anthony Rapp
My avatar- the amazingly talented Michael Buble
i think anthony would be smashing coming back as mark. he did so awesomely in the OBC and he'd do just as well if not better the second time around! as for roger, my preference would be cary shields. not that i dont looove adam, he is soo moving to me, but i prefer cary's roger because it seems to be more "wuvable" if you will. his one song glory is ripping...posetively entrancing... lol im lissa by the way! great to meet you all!
i agree with (i believe) the second poster, who thinks it's time they hang up their hats on Rent. I love them all to death, and they are all amazing, but I think Rent is about fresh, new casts-- It's an ever-changing face of Broadway.
As for anthnycaryRappShlds1, search the boards for Feeling Electric. There's quite a few threads on it.
