This is a regional production that transferred to Broadway without any names. Wouldn't be surprised if this only runs for 6 months.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

The original was “lovingly ripped off” from the movie. This one just feels “sadly ripped off” from the original Broadway production.
I enjoyed it at the Kennedy Center, but of all the shows I’ve seen there, this was probably at the bottom of my list of shows I would have liked to see transfer. Well, maybe right above the KC production of Footloose (and I say that as one of the 12 people that actually enjoyed Footloose on Bway).

Why did you think that? There have been so many posts in this thread about how poorly we expect it to sell because of the lack of star power and virtually no buzz, there's been a bunch of dates on TDF, and they're advertising $89 orchestra seats.
They also recently announced a $39 rush, which should be fairly easy to get.

Yeah, nobody cares for a variety of reasons so tickets will be cheap and rush will be a breeze.

The Monty Python brand of humor may have not aged well and there is nobody in the cast that is really a big draw. Personally, I would rather see the revival of "Tommy".
The entire enterprise of this production makes no sense. Zero names, a property (Monty Python) that I feel is firmly in the incel canon of humor and a production that was received lukewarmly at best in DC and has anyone been jonesing for a Spamalot revival? No. Not hard to see this is just bad producing.
The content they're putting out in advertising is also doing zero to elevate it to primetime either. Its bad across the board.

Barring a miracle, I'd say the balcony will get closed off by January.

It doesn't hurt, but I doubt it's helping much at this point. Interest in the two of them feels like it came and went (or maybe I'm just blissfully unaware). If she sees the show on opening or at a preview, that will get paps attention for a fleeting moment.
