And just for those who thinks this means he is leaving Spring Awakening..I doubt it. Kathy Brier did One Life to Live while she was in Hairspray. So thats good to know.
it was sold out when I saw it...i mean theres always rush but yeah anyways there is no way Groff is going to leave the show. He's said multiple times that he's going to stay as long as they will have him
RIP Natasha Richardson. ~You were a light on this earth ~

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

I love how Rosie said something like he is going to be on One life to Live then move on to bigger things...As if starring in hit BROADWAY show isn't already sooo HUGE! lol. A young Tom Hanks? lol Like Jon Groff is the only great actor on Broadway. haha Oh Rosie.
Soo was he maybe already in the show in the past? Because I am thinking that if it was coming up it would be all over SA's myspace page that seems to always updated with current news.
Can someone explain that hairdo on one of the guys standing in the center? It's two loops on the top of his head. I realize this is a period piece, and I recognize the other hair styles as authentic, but I"ve never seen anything like that guy had.
They performed well, but I don't think that that's one of the more accessible songs from the show. Even in context it sounds so silly to me, so out of context I would probably have just thought, "...Huh?" "Bitch of Living" is a better performance choice, even if that didn't go over so well last night/might not have sat well with the daytime audience. Updated On: 2/22/07 at 12:56 PM
Touch Me is such beautiful song. No way is it silly. I love it. The opening number in Legally BLonde the Musical "Omigod You Guys", or whatever it is called, is a silly song. Oh wait, the fact Legally Blonde is a musical is silly. Updated On: 2/22/07 at 01:31 PM
I don't think the song is "silly," per se in the way you're using the word, Lauren. I think musically, it's one of the more beautiful songs in the show in that kind of eerie sort of way. But lyrically, I do think it's a little bit odd out of context. It's kind of an awkward song in terms of its lyrics, IMO. A lot of the lyrics in the show are very literal and explanatory, in a way -- and to me, it is sort of weird to have lyrics that are literally "oh my God, oh yeah..." and so forth. It's not a bad song, and far from the worst in the show lyrically, but it does seem like a strange choice for a TV appearance at the very least.
In general Rosie sort of scares me when she gets to introduce people or acts. She sort of moves things along at a really quick pace. She grabs a lot of attention as well. It's not something negative, it's just like whoooa Rosie's on a roll, don't mess with her.
Touch Me was an interesting choice. I was quite surprised they chose it. Was anyone out, or were all the ensemble members in, or did they just stick Krysta in there?
I just wished they wouldn't have just stood there. That to me was what made it a bit odd. I love the lyrics in that song though and they sounded wonderful so I'm happy

All of the ensemble members were in there. Everyone except for the adults I believe. I wished they would have moved around more too. They were all squished in together.

I think they sang it because A. Its a good ballad, B. No cussing or profane material, and C. The dialouge that intros is good for appealing to the View demographic (middle aged women). Because its a teen male (who are normally sex moungering jerks) trying to relate to woman.
I have several names, one is Julian2. I am also The Opps Girl. But cross me, and I become Bitch Dooku!
I ot up at 6 a.m. to get across town and try for Sandby tickets for the Veiw today. They didn't have room for ONE extra standby person!! I was so angry. Did the audience get tickets to see Spring Awakening??
