I wish Rosie hadn't pulled the three of them out. I love them, and they are the main characters, but I feel that the best thing is that the show is so ensemble based. Pulling the three of them out just takes away from that.
The show has certainly picked up since Rosie. Rosie is a great person. Not only a fair and honest person, but open honest and a great advocate of children. She is Broadway's biggest supporter and for THAT ALONE We should love her. Broadway performers are the hardest working people in show business. She never forgets that. We need more support like hers. For Broadway, for children and beyond!! Going to NY next week for Sring Awakening. Can't wait!!!
I finally saw it! Just amazing. From what I heard this arrangement seemed just a little faster than the usual, but nothing else is different. People were saying that there were different words or something. Maybe I just heard wrong. It was fantastic though. I must add that they all look so tired, especially Jonathan Groff! I would imagine though, with Letterman for the guys & 8 shows a week.

I had to be up 4 and on the bus by 5 to get there for the standby line. I had blue flyer #2...what a dissapointment. I watched it on TV when I got home and I thought they did amazing!

Phew I was wondering if somehow they got the cast all grouped together for that number but suspected not... Wasn't sure as I knwo Btich of Living did use some of the staging
A few comments: -If you want to see some of the staging of Touch Me, try to catch the Breakfast with the Arts clip.
-Yeah, I don't Groff is going anywhere anytime soon. Matt Cavenaugh was on ATWT and in Grey Gardens at the same time.
-I personally found both performances lackluster. I find more excitement in the cast recording, and I found both songs a great deal more engaging in person and even on the Virgin Megastore video! I'm sure they were very nervous. It is also a very bizarre concept to pair modern music and period costumes. It works well on stage, but it is odd to watch on television.
So, that was the Drowsy Chaperone. Oh, I love it so much. I know it's not a perfect show...but it does what a musical is supposed to do. It takes you to another world, and it gives you a little tune to carry with you in your head for when you're feeling blue. Ya know?
I competely get what you're saying but I thought she could have at least given him a little shout out. Like..."by the way...this guy behind me with the silly grin...he wrote the show. Now...check out the amazing cast, they are all so talented......"
Why do you say creepy writer though? Am I missing something? I talked to him at the CD signing while the cast was on stage singing and he seemed pretty down to earth and not creepy at all.
