A lot of hype on reddit too. Of course a first preview audience who want to be there but it's looking like things are going well.....
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000

On Reddit someone said people were lined up, but when the box office opened they came out & told everyone no rush was available
I'm in the minority: more interested in the production that this one performance. I'm happy to see it with Mandy, yet cannot find which performances. Only SeatGeek is supposed to indicated the outs/substitutions. It's not a standard day of the week? If I'm looking in the wrong place, don't scold, just direct us.

Gonzalez's standard night is going to be Tuesdays, beginning October 22. Scherzinger is doing all performances through opening night.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."

Yes those bags were pre-placed on each seat before the audience arrived. They’re the same ones as the Pines Pantry on Fire Island was giving customers all summer.
Used a TodayTix gift card and rewards to bring a $120 ticket down to $74 for tomorrow night. With how lauded the performances are and the use of digital elements, this felt like one that will be best seen full-view in the orchestra rather than buying a cheaper ticket in the balcony or ending up with a super partial view rush seat (plenty of which exist at the St. James). Should be perfect for a quick exit to stage door too. I'm SO excited!!!!

When I was out on Fire Island in late July and early & mid August, the Pines Pantry was handing out bags with that slogan.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
