I sent this BWW link to a friend of mine who was working on the Broadway-bound revival, and they said it's still coming in with Sierra Boggess and others... Do we know who else is in it?
I highly doubt that it is coming in. There will be a backlog of shows fighting for theaters when Broadway reopens and I don't think Secret Garden will be at the top of the list. Plus, the producer just had investors lose their money in not one but three different productions of Bill More Chill. I can't imagine it's easy to raise money after that.
Wouldn’t your friend who was involved in the project know?
I was hoping the Sydney/Melbourne TSG might propel some buzz (I was supposed to be seeing that!), but since that got sidelined, maybe next year? Though I feel like TSG fans have been saying "maybe next year" for about 10 years.

Given the amount of shows that have either closed or seem likely to before Broadway reopens, I'm not sure where there's going to be a backlog of shows fighting for theatres. If anything, we're going to see a lot of theatres dark for a while. So while this probably won't happen the day Broadway reopens, it's certainly still very plausible that this revival comes in a year or two.
A fully staged production directed by Warren Carlyle is set to take place at the Center Theatre Group / Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles this spring.

Maybe a Broadway revival can follow.
Interesting quote from CTG, saying that The Secret Garden is "overdue for a revival" - but of course, there have been quite a few revivals of Secret Garden in other regional and international theatres. And surely if this were just a one-and-done regional production, they wouldn't be so bold as to dub this our "overdue revival."
So I'm thinking that quote probably had an eye toward the future, and that this is intended as a pre-Broadway tryout.
Whether it will actually get there, however, is another question. I worry that Secret Garden and Titanic both are doomed to be stuck in that perpetual state of "every few years there's a major production that wants to go to Broadway, but none quite manage it."
Drama Desk and Drama League nominee Sierra Boggess will lead the cast of "The Secret Garden," as Lily, Mary's aunt and Archibald Craven's wife, which will play at Center Theatre Group / Ahmanson Theatre February 19 through March 26, 2023. Reimagined for a new generation by the original creators, Tony® Award and Pulitzer Prize winner Marsha Normanand Grammy Award®-winning composer Lucy Simon. Opening is set for February 26, 2023, and single tickets are on sale November 2, 2022.
"I am so incredibly thrilled to play Lily once again in our production of 'The Secret Garden.' Warren Carlyle has breathed such life into, I think, one of the most iconic stories of our time; love and loss, death and rebirth, innocence, and healing," said Boggess. "What I love about Lily is that even from the grave she won't give up until there is healing for those that can't find their way. With one of the most beautiful scores ever written by our beloved Lucy Simon, I hope to honor her with every note and give the world this story that we are so in need of at this time."

Does anyone have the song list for the 2018 concert [as that's what the revival will be]? Wondering if it's more like the original or the 2001 London version. Thanks
As long as it’s not the Australian version that removed any elements of gothic horror from the piece.
They've announced their Mary Lennox, 11-year-old Sadie Reynolds.
Hoping to make this in LA...Is there anyone who watched the workshop stream that was available from this production and can talk about the revisions they're making?
I'm told Aaron Lazar will be playing Mary's uncle.

Sadie is amazing. We had her in a show last January and we all knew she was going places. And the Mary cover is another one of our kids from that show - Ava Gray and she's also fantastic and will be playing one show a week.
