Should we return tickets for MR to see MJ?

We are here for my 40th. Started off with a bang yesterday at COMPANY. As someone who has seen COMPANY twice and been in it once, it felt so fresh and new. Loved how they really modernized it, and especially loved the restructuring of Act 2. Going to be hard to top.

We currently have tickets for Paradise Square tonight, Music Man on Friday, Moulin Rouge Saturday afternoon and Take Me Out Saturday night.

I've been hearing really great things about MJ from lots of people I trust. My other half has been excited to see Moulin Rouge for some time, and I'm really not moved either way even though the movie is one of my favorites.

Thoughts? Should we return MR tickets in favor of MJ? Believe we have to decide today given MR policy is 48 hours.

Well if the person you’re with really wants to see MR and you don’t care either way I don’t see why you’d switch out.

To clarify, I don't have feelings for MR one way or another. I do want to see MJ though. He has seen a really bad curtain call clip and thinks the cast is awful.

Definitely don’t switch. Moulin Rouge is superior.

Love how an entire 2 hour plus musical and the cast’s performance IN the show is being judged by their curtain call - where they are being loose and out of character and enjoying themselves. That’s right up there with judging an entire film by its 30 second TV commercial.

This is actually more like basing the opinion of a movie just on the post-credit scenes!

You won’t experience Moulin Rouge anywhere like it is on Broadway. The theatre is immersive and the staging is unique. I feel MJ will definitely tour and you’ll get the full experience. I’d stick with Moulin Rouge.

I'd stick with ''Moulin Rouge!,'' but since it's your birthday, you oughta see whatever YOU want to see. Or are you just looking for moral support or a lazy excuse to make a switch you really want? Have a good time at whatever it is.
