If you're in Sydney, there's also some good stuff at the Hayes Theatre (Next to Normal, Blood Brothers). I'm not sure what will be on in Melbourne, but if you keep an eye on what's happening at Chapel Off Chapel there's often good stuff there.
aussietheatre.com.au and theatrepeople.com.au and their respective Facebook pages will keep you up to date!
I would never use the words Blood Brothers and good stuff in the same sentence.
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.

Our House is a really clever show. And I would not refer to Blood Brothers as "good", but rather "great". Love that show. Saw it twice. Would see it again in a heartbeat.
"What can you expect from a bunch of seitan worshippers?" - Reginald Tresilian
Surprised that Mormon hasn't been linked to Australia.
Obviously the show was both a massive critic and box office hit in New York when it opened, then 2 national tours opened, then London, which were all very successful, but nothing new has happened from Mormon in at least 2 years.
It would be a tough sell in Australia. The general mainstream theatre going public aren't the South Park crowd. They tend to be older people and women on 'girl's nights out' hence the proliferation of revivals of Dirty Dancing, The Sound of Music, Wicked, The Rocky Horror Show and Grease.
I'm hoping the rumours about Pippin are true though.
I forgot about La Cage Aux Folles. I think I've given up on The Production Company shows - I've seen a few hits, but an awful lot of misses for the ticket price. Although I would go back for certain performers.
Also, Miracle City is currently playing at the Hayes Theatre with an excellent cast - Esther Hannaford, Hilary Cole, Mitchell Butel...
StephieElise, I saw Miracle City today and it was excellent!!! By the way, Mitchell Butel is in the play Emerald City, not the musical Miracle City. :)
Anyone excited about Man of La Mancha with Tony Sheldon? I was so bored with the Anthony Warlow-Caroline O'Connor production from many years ago. I don't know if I can sit through that show again.
Kinky Boots will announce in the early part of the new year, Melbourne opening

That's exciting about Kinky Boots if it's true! Although, I'm wondering if they'll have to look overseas for Lola. I can't think of anyone suitable off the top of my head.
Audra McDonald is doing some concerts out here next year. I just booked 2nd row tickets for her Melbourne show! 11 months is a ridiculously long time for them to have my money though!
StephieElise, wow, great seats for Audra! I'm still waiting till the Sydney tickets go on sale next month. Are you seeing The Production's Company's La Cage aux Folles? I'm seeing it on Saturday afternoon, followed by Miriam Margolyes in I'll Eat You Last.
Kinky Boots is on hold till after Matilda opens, Book Of Mormon is looking at a limited season in Sydney and Melbourne ( other states to be confirmed ) auditions where held with some of The Lion King cast not long ago....
