So here's one. Not just revivials that you hope to see, but theatrical events, casting ideas or revivals that are just too good to miss... but are too good to ever happen.
My random dream? I'd like to see Seth McFarlane take on a Broadway show, or, even better, get his own Broadway revue along the lines of "Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me." Get him a small, multitalented cast and let him sing standards, do sketches, some of his notorious impersonations, and just go wild.
Or, have Seth and his two many-voiced Family Guy co-stars Mike Henry and Alex Borstein give us staged readings of classic plays and screenplays, just by them, much like Dean Martin, Judy Garland and Frank Sinatra's infamous "Dick Tracy In B Flat" performance. I think the McFarlane-Henry-Borstein "A Streetcar Named Desire" would be legendary.
Backwoods, didn't someone actually consider making a SEX musical? If that actually went through, I could totally see that cast... but would they make-up Laura Bell into a voodoo donkey-witch monster?
A show where Patti LuPone doesn't stop and yell at the audience.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
i would KILL for Witches Of Eastwick on Broadway. Hugh Jackman as Daryl, Bernadette Peters as Alex, Kristen Chenoweth as Suki, and Shoshana Bean as Jane.
I agree that I would LOVE to see Dick Tracy done as a stage Musical!
Also, Death Becomes Her: The Musical.
My brain's not working well tonight So I am not going to come up with casting ideas.
Anyone familiar with the children's play 'The Yellow Boat' by David Saar? I would love to see that done as a musical. Even though the story is outdated.
