Obviously some theatre entity needs to buy it and preserve it as a museum, or better yet. What about a site specific production of Company??

The area is not zoned for a museum and the very beautiful house, even at $7M, is priced extremely low for Manhattan. It must have major repair issues.

I agree that it sounds cheap. i would have thought for a Turtle Bay Gardens townhouse, and with that provenance, it would have been twice to three times that much.
