Yes I was pelted with Candy as well. What was truly funny to me, and I doubt anyone other than the people immediately around me noticed, was later in the song when he was in the other aisle I looked away and anotheer piece of candy, by chance-unless Aaron has incredible aim, nailed me in the back of the head.
And now Gay night coming up so soon? Wow. Love this show.
It sounds so fun, I wish I was there! Thank you all for sharing in such explicit details!!

No, seriously? So how early would I have to be there to get student rush for Gay Night? I can't pay full price again.
I loved that the dildo had a little smiley face drawn on it.
tickets go on sale 2 hrs before the performance... How were the rush crowds for the adult show? For regular shows, I've rushed twice, and never had a line or a problem getting in.
Rush wasn't bad at all. I got there something like an hour before the rush tickets went on sale, and there were only a few people ahead of me. I think people might have been afraid of not being able to get a rush ticket and so got a regular ticket to be sure.
I got a regular ticket figuring that rush would've been a little crazier than usual. Guess it wasn't, but I loved my seat though. Ironically it was almost exactly where I sat the first time I saw it.
Yeah, we'd all seen it before. Aaron is so cute, he was like "why did they let you on. We all know you've seen it." and I was like "I think that's why they chose us."

Bummer, I should have signed up - I wonder if it will be the same for the Gay Night? I don't want to die never having been onstage at this show.
Another favorite from last night that I just remembered:
"I'd like to take this moment to thank my two fathers for teaching me the difference between being anal and getting anal."
Supposedly there'll be another adult night, so there's your chance.

The condoms seem to be leftovers from some kind of movie promo.
Anyone know why?
Also, I bought a shirt, as you can see.

As did I, I'm wearing it right now.
So is the Gay Night on Wednesday, June 14th official?

If you take the "T" from listen, the "W" from answer and the extra "A" in aardvark you'd keep calling your mom a twat but she wouldn't hear you.
I'm pretty sure it's official: http://talkinbroadway.com/allthatchat/d.php?id=269108

are we sure "gay night" isnt just the regular show, but with a gay audience?
Ya know how they have "GAY DAY AT DISNEYLAND" and what not.
My guess, is that its goingto be the regular show. Just a guess though, could be wrong.
I'm confused as to why they would have to have a gay night in SF, but hey, whatever works...

Haha. Good point Lizzie.
I was at the show last night. I don't think i've laughed that hard in a very long time.

One of my favorite changes was in "Woe Is Me" when, where she normally sings "She would like to meet me when I'm grown and I've burst like a comet/But I'm so stressed by my stress I just want to up and vomit," last night she sang something close to "She says I'm the child of a love that was (...?) and thwarted/But she's so glad looking back that I never was aborted."

Last night was great. I think I win the award for the best picture of the night.

CUTE pic Stacy!!
This might sound strange but I can't imagine a cast better then the one I have seen twice in SF. I listened to the obr on itunes and I wished the voices were the ones I recognized. We should get a SF recording :)
GAY NIGHT JUNE 14

It's just like any other show, but with a primarily gay audience. Hosted by Energy 92.7FM, there is also an after-show party at Mecca. Similar to the Gay Nights that were hosted at "Confessions of a Mormon Boy" -- just brings in a particular audience and the juicy pink dollar. Should be fun

I completely agree, Cody. Our cast is stellar and (no offense to the NYC cast) I'd love some sort of professional recording (not going to happen though) because they sound superb if not slightly more fresh than the Broadway cast. We really do have a TREAT!

Did anyone else raise their eyebrows and then burst out laughing? I can't be that unique.
Good review Eugene! I wonder the girls in the photo, how many times they saw the show?!
But...

I do agree that SF cast is pretty good. But nobody can touch OBC, after all, these are the (most of the) people actually created their own role through workshop and other productions. Spelling Bee is so fortunate to have those great companies though. (wish I can see Chicago production too)
