hehehe, a few of those I know most of us have prob already seen, but I had to post because they basically are amazing- particularly the first one
I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.
aaand I'm done now, I just had to post that one too because it personally makes me VERY happy lea is definitely a bit of a mini/young idina!

^I saw that on the shows myspace. They look so much alike. Well I already knew that but, when you have then next to each other in person they look a lot a like.

Reading this thread has made me really anxious to see Spring Awakening, but I have a question...is the audience mixed in regards to ages? I'm 33 and I'm curious if this is mostly a younger crowd show?
I am 29 and am absolutely in love with this show!!! I felt the same apprehensions that you have at first, but I have seen this 2 times and have seen a huge age range in the auduence. I met a man over 60 at the CD signing who said it was his favorite show on Broadway! I saw it with others ages 29-33 and am going back tomorrow with others ages 40, 47 & 53. I think one of the great things about going to this show as an older person, even if it's only slightly, is that you remember exactly what it all felt like to be the age of the characters...and even if you started to forget some things the show brings it all back to you! It is one of the most powerful and beautiful and honest pieces of art (in any form) that I have ever seen...I really hope you enjoy it...please let me know!

I have seen this show 4 times now and I am over 50. At every performance I attended, there were allot of older people there, allot. This is not a show that is only for teenagers, at all.
Idina & Lea both have very uncanny similarities. I never really thought about it, but they do look alike.
Did anybody read Lea's blog on her Myspace about MTV & Spring Awakening? I hope it hasn't been on yet, even though I don't get that channel.
An excerpt from Lea's blog, this makes me laugh:
"So as you can see im really excited! But first i have to take Jon Groff shopping for clothes because he's still wearing the same pants from 10th grade!!! Off to Urban!!!!"
"Some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, take the moment & making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity." -Gilda Radner
2373- Lea's Myspace is on Spring Awakening's Myspace page. www.myspace.com/springawakeningonbroadway Here is her Myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/leamichelesa
Other performer's Myspaces are on SA's Myspace.
There was a new blog posted on the SA Myspace this morning. I also read the Spring Awakening article that is in today's Daily News. Good article w/ a cute picture of John, Jon, and Lea.

AH!! the Breakfast With the Arts segment is up on youtube and they show the ENTIRE scene before My Junk!! OMG I forgot how much I love all the humor in the beginning of the show. "He's such a RADICAL!!" "he doesn't believe in ANYTHING. Not in god, not in heaven, not in a single thing in this world. *sighs and falls*" <33

Exactly! There is much humor in SA, and not only focused (as some have complained) in the scenes with the gay duo of Hanshen and Ernst...
not at all!
theres also:
"WHY? WHY am I haunted by the legs of a woman? By the deepening conviction that some dark part of my destiny may lie there between them!?"
"aand if you'd like you could add some illustrations in the margins." *pause* "top to bottom?"
and many others too (though I think you really have to hear Johnny say those lines in order to get just how wonderful and funny they are hehe)

haha sorry, I got carried away... I may or may not have been listening to a ... *coughhackweeksniff* and yeah... I was reminded of how much I NEED to see this show again. Soon.

how long do you think the current SA cast will be in the show? Particularly Lea? I know we can never know, but do you think most of them will be around through August? If not, I may have to plan a special trip to NY...
