Raul is amazing. I love him AND Spring Awakening. It's great to see other actors talk about Spring Awakening.

My friend (who is close with the cast) told me that Skylar bought a puppy with Lauren.

I have a bit of a problem.
My mom just surprised me with tickets for SA on a Sunday matinee performance. I was obviously thrilled...until I realized that the performance she bought tickets for was on Sunday, June 10th (the night of the Tony Awards).
Is there any chance that some of the cast will perform in the show that afternoon? I was really looking forward to see Jonathan Groff and John Gallagher, Jr.

Really?! I wasn't sure if the actors approached the Tony Awards like actors approach the Oscars and spend all day getting ready.

No haha they'll have plenty of time to get ready. I mean, there's always a chance they won't be there, but most of the time actors are there tony day.

Fabulous NYT article that has to do with all the awards that happen during the season. A lot of it has to do with Gallagher.

Phoebe went on as Wendla at tonight's performance. This was unplanned from what I hear. Also Lea changed her SECOND vacation(losing major points in my book) from June to September.

was this phobe's first time as Wendla? ooh if she's out in Sept that means I'll be back in NY and can see either Krysta or Phoebe!!

It was her second. She went on last month but, it was planned in advance give her experience with Wendla. I hear she is absolutely fabulous. Actually people prefer Lea's understudies over her which is kind of sad...

Well just from sitting near her onstage I can safely assure everyone that Krysta has an incredible voice and so I'd really love to see her in the role. She also really throws herself into every song even just being in the audience. Personally I love Lea's performance and am a bit reluctant to think that someone else could be as moving as she is but I'm sure that both Phoebes and Krysta rock and would love to see what someone else brings to the role. For any of the three leads for that matter. I would DIE to see Johnny B. Wright's Malchior!

Krysta owned Lea as Wendla. Wright doesn't understudy Melchoir anymore. His voice is totally different then the range for that apart.

My friend and I are going to see SA on July 6th. We're coming up from TX for a long weekend and we've been dying to see the show! We're really, really hoping that no one leaves the cast before that. Anyone know if anyone has already said they'll be gone by then?? We're so excited!!!

trust me he has the range for malchior. He sings the way he does in the show to fit his character. It's too bad if he doesn't understudy anymore.

EmilyP, the whole cast with the possibility of Gideon, will be there until November.
Gustof, I heard that his voice didn't fit Melchoir's. That was why Matt Doyle was brought in.
Gman, I can't believe you found that too. Is that what I think it is or not?
