ok saturday the 14th what would be a good time to get there?
I honestly can't say. I know it's going to be more crowded than usual, so maybe around 6ish? I've heard some (crazy) people talking about camping out the day before, but I think that's relaly extreme and it will probably only be those two who do it.
I'm getting there around 7 though, but I might just throw in the towel and aim for standing room at get there later.

Has anyone gone in the last week or so who can recommend how early to get there for a Saturday night show?
This Saturday? Because this Saturday is going to be a bit more crowded than a normal Saturday.
For a normal Saturday, I think getting there at 7:30-8:00am would be good.

Why is that? I'm not in the SA loop at all, but I thought maybe I'd try the rush this weekend. Methinks I should wait until it comes back to TDF, if that ever happens...
It's the first day Jonathan Groff is missing ever and his understudy, Matt Doyle, is going on as Melchior.

Before the Tony Awards, I went on a Sunday (May 20th). Got there about 9 am and was about 7th or 8th in line. I would suggest getting there by 7 am on a Sunday, as I believe it has gotten busier since the Tonys.
Sooooo...on a Saturday...is getting there at 7 for rush too late?
Also, would I be able to get SRO tickets for a Friday night if I showed up around noontime or 1?

That shouldn't be too late.

Most days they sell out of SRO immediately after rush if they run out of rush tickets. If you were going on a 2 show day wednesday or something, it may be different, but you're planning on going friday.
Noon for SRO is pushing it, though you might be able to scoop one of the last tickets up. I got the last SRO ticket at 11:45 on a Tuesday night.
7 for rush will be fine.
Is there only studnet rush? Can I get a ticket for my mom and myself even though I'm a student and she's obviously not... How early should I get there on a Thursday or a Friday?
you can buy 2 student rush tix, i can't see a reason why they wouldn't let your mom use it...

I've done student rush plenty of times at other shows and brought my mother along with me. I don't see why not =]
OK, about what time on Friday, August 17th?
I'm prepared to get there at 6 on a Thursday,
but if I pushed it off and got there at 7 would I still be safe?
I'm really thinking about doing student rush for SA, since that will be my only chance to see the show, but I've never done rush before. If I wanted to go on a Tuesday or Thursday night, I would have a better chance of getting tickets than if I went for a Saturday matinee, right? Also, is there a chance it will be on the TKTS board? I'm usually get my tickets through TKTS or broadwaybox.com, I'm new to the rush.

I'm not sure if Spring Awakening has been on TKTS lately. I was meeting a friend at the Marquis last week and passed by the booth and didn't see it.
I'd say your best bet is to do rush. I'd say getting around the theatre 6 AM-ish. Two day shows seem to be easier because the box office hands out more tickets. You can choose either the matinee or evening.

I hate to be "that person" but how has the rush for Spring Awakening been lately? I'm planning on going tomorrow, which would be a Wednesday, and I'm open for either show, so what would be a good, safe time to get there?
How has the rush been lately? I'm planning to go on Friday the 17th. I was wondering since I have like planned a whole day & all. I was also wondering if the rush has been crazier since Gideon leaving on the 25th.
