I saw the matinee on Wednesday. I wasn't sure if I was going to make it (I got stuck in a traffic jam in PA, missed my bus into the city, and had to take a bus that was running on a delayed schedule. It seemed like time was not on my side.) However, with a little bit of luck and running through the city, I made it just in time. I had aisle seats towards the back of the orchestra. Very exciting! Although, some grumpy old people in front of me were really annoying. As soon as the show started, they started yelling at the ushers to turn down the air conditioner. Then the man's cell phone started ringing. grrrr
Anyways, I loved every second of the show. This is by far my favorite show on Broadway right now. I've been raving about it ever since. The cast is great!!!! My favorite performances would have to be Will Swenson (Berger) and Bryce Ryness (Woof). One hilarious moment was during Woof's introduction. While he was talking, a man came in late to the show. Bryce stopped and said, "Oh, you came!!!" I heard about this happening before, but it was just very funny.
I had two interactions with Hud and Woof...nothing major compared to some other people. The audience was really into it. I love how this show appeals to the masses. Everyone old, young, and in between seemed to really be enjoying themselves. It is just so much fun and full of love.
A few people came to the show dressed up and just about everyone in the cast came out to sign autographs at the stage door. They were all very kind to the fans. I can't wait to see this show again.

That was hilarious!! They seemed a little confused at first.
If you ever see the show again...I suggest dressing like a hippie. My friends and I did it about two weeks ago and the cast was loving it...plus it makes the experience a lot more fun.

From tonight.
A friend of mine was at the show last night and said that Chasten was not actually on.
Sorry, this may be a dumb question- but are audience members who go up onstage for "let the sunshine in" allowed to bring cameras and take pictures while they're onstage/is it easy to get away with?
I saw an album online of someone who took tons of pictures during it, and I was just wondering as I'll be seeing it for the first time on Wednesday! So excited :)
I took my camera on stage and wasn't told I couldn't or given any problems. Just make sure the flash is off.
I expected to be blown away ... and I was. It's such a visceral experience. It's fun, it's poignant without being heavy-handed.
Love the tribe! So much talent, I'm so jealous!!
So much energy and the audience interaction just works as well. (It helps that I got kissed on the head and called "Lovely" by Will Swenson, I'm sure.)
And I always wanted to dance on Broadway and now I have! :)
Didn't win the lottery, but I expect to try many, many more times.
And the lyrics will NOT go outta my head!
Oh!
At the beginning of the Saturday matinee, Berger was in the front row showing off his "mom." Was that Will Swenson's mom?
Either way, it was a cool moment.

No, it is not his mom. He will just pick someone in the front row...sometimes it is an older lady and some times it is a teenager. I think that he has also pulled up his "father" as well.
Yeah once his "Mom" was Hillary Clinton. another time a 13 year old girl, then a balding middle aged guy whom he called mom.
