Sunday Eve Shows in NYC

Curious what folks opinions are for options for shows to see on a Sunday eve.  Will be back in the city in a few weeks and looks like these are some options

Antigone 

Sexual Misconduct 

Just In Time 

 

anything else I might be missing?

Take a look at some of the new shows that are opening too. Some of them have have stray Sunday night performances.

THE BALUSTERS has one on Sun Apr. 12.

THE FEAR OF 13 has one on Sunday Apr. 19.

CATS: THE JELLICLE BALL has 5pm Sundays starting May 3rd

OH, MARY has one every Sunday night at 6:30p

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has two Sunday evening performances scheduled on March 22 and April 5.

Titanique has 6:30 pm performances for many Sundays during its run.

Are these irregular slots more likely to have an understudy/alternate appear in lead roles?

Will be forgoing Audible Theater's Sexual Misconduct starring Trump friend Hugh Jackman. Wasn't it bad enough he performed for Murdoch?  But this production won't see a dime from me - Boycott anyone friends with this administration.   Sorry for the folks behind the scenes at Audible but Jackman should rot in hell and normalizing anything this vile adminstration does.

It’s hard to say because every show is different, but I tilt toward no. In my experience, the odds usually increase if that Sunday night show is the 9th show of the week (like on a holiday weekend), but my understanding is that some Sunday nights are usually built in so that it allows for freedom during the week if its awards season, but also to allow people in the industry to see each other’s shows.
