I will be there. Very excited. This was one the second show I saw on Broadway during my first trip to New York, so I'm eager to both hear the music again and see this production that I've heard so much about. And what a cast!!!

Seeing this on December 2nd and I couldn't be more excited. Never saw the musical, movie or read the book, so I'm excited to finally see this material.

I will be there as well. Going in with a very open mind. Just thinking back at the other huge production. And to think this one will only be done with a few chairs. Trying to wrap my head around the concept.

I'll be there Thursday. After viewing the video posted in the other thread, I'm very excited to see it.

I REALLY want to see this show, but I can't afford $145.00 a ticket. Even $80 to sit in the last row of the Mezz is pretty extreme.

I got a seat row E of the left mezz, first seat on the aisle for $85. I didn't think that was too bad. I've never been in the mezzanine for that theatre but I can't imagine it being a bad seat. Anyone have any input?

So stand in the rush line in the morning and get the 35 dollar tickets.

I would also guess this show will be sold-out most if not all the time. So I wonder when & if they'll be selling SRO.

I'm curious to hear if they've expanded on the design at all for a more traditional proscenium space vs. the Chocolate Factory stage in London.

Intermission now; the entire cast is absolutely fantastic. Lots of applause from an incredibly receptive audience.
the set looks about the same as the pictures I've seen from the London design, and though I personally think it's beautiful, the women behind me are currently complaining about it being too sparse ("you don't know if they're inside or outside", "the production I saw had neon signs; and here there's no neon signs"
.

This is obviously not the kind of reinvention SPRING AWAKENING is, but I'm going to put it in the same group of revivals of newish shows that are stronger than the original. The production is strong and focused, and the cast is unreal. Only major complaint is tinny sound.

Did Whizzer say if he was or wasn't going tonight?

It's stunning. The three women are wonderful. Hudson is refreshingly restrained and fantastic. Brooks is hilarious and heartbreaking. Erivo is a star. What a performance. Standing O after "I'm Here."
Arden should talk to Doyle. THIS is how you deconstruct and reconstruct a musical. Don't miss it.

Relieved to hear that Hudson is able to handle the Broadway stage. Very excited to see this. Although I was fearing the orchestra would sound tinny like every other Chocolate Factory transfer.

Does this production include the overture?

There was no overture in London. That's not a surprise.
