(A little bit early on this one, but another user PM'd me asking me to start this thread... so, might as well!)
Previews for the Broadway premiere of The Prom begin in just a few days (Tuesday, October 23, 2018) at the Longacre Theatre. Starring Beth Leavel, Brooks Ashmanskas, and Christopher Sieber, The Prom is set to open officially on Thursday, November 15 for an open run.
Who's going?!

I have tickets for next month, but if the seating chart told me anything only about 30 people bought tickets for my day.
I will be there Thursday night.

I have one extra ticket for November 4, really good seat :)
Anyone interested, PM me
I was at the invited dress tonight, Im not going to say much since that would be disrespectful. But, I had a fun time and it was entertaining. Im going again tomorrow since I didn't think I was going tonight and bought tickets a while ago, I will post all my thoughts tomorrow.

I was at the invited dress as well and I also had a really fun time. Of course it was a room full of family and friends so the support was already in place, but I laughed and smiled a ton, and that alone felt great.

The set (from what I've seen) looks horrendous. It's too much and all over the place

I hope they made changes from the out of town. I saw the out of town and a big thing I noticed was it had a bad identity issue. Do they want to be this old fashioned broadway show? Or a new dear evan hansen? It went back and forth so much, im not sure the show knows what they want to be

This will probably be another gettin the band back together. There is no interest in seeing a musical about a prom. I don't want to remember prom

I have said this before in another thread, but the sad truth is this show isn't selling. This can be the next hamilton but barley any tickets have been sold. They need good word of mouth or a whole new marketing campaign.
The next Hamilton? Um, not in a million years.

To be fair...if that picture of the set is supposed to be the prom itself, it looks an awful lot like my high school prom's decorations. Of course, that was 1984... Willing to give Scott Pask the benefit of the doubt until I see it for myself.
The set- from what I can discern from a poor quality photo- looks... fairly prom-y.
The set looks exactly like a high school prom with the theme "City Nights" or some variation thereof would look like.
