Why would anyone "rush" to see this show?

I suppose if one can get a discounted ticket, that would be the way to go.

Don't let them get you down! Tarzan puts out 20 rush tickets for each show, either front or last row. You can usually get these tickets, which go on sale at noon (matinee) or 6 (evening) if you get on line an hour before, though the earlier the better. For weeks when school is out, make it an hour and a half. I have never known them to not sell out of rush tickets, though, so heed the advice. PM me when you know you're going, if it's an evening, maybe I'll swing by too :)

I'm on break too next week and planning to see Tarzan. I have seen rush tickets sell out once cause I didn't get them that time but every other time I have tried I managed to. As far as the seats go I have had all the way in the back orch, front row and on the side. I'm expecting rush next week to be a bit crazy!!

Yep, they are dark.
I mean, you can still rush at that time (Tues. Night), but I'm sure the next people would get there around noon the next day.

Bump.

I am going to the city in a couple of Saturdays. I probably won't get there until about 10:30-11 am. How long is the line usually by then? You think it would be difficult to get?

Rush begins 2 hours prior to the show, so 6pm for the 8pm evening performances and noon for the 2pm matinees. Most weekday evenings, you can get rush tickets if you are on line by 5:15, but I have seen people on line at 10:00 am not get matinee tickets for the noon window, especially on Saturdays. For school vacation weeks, start at least an hour earlier. Plan accordingly.

Equally importantly, smile and say please and thank you to the box office guys, don't ask them what time it is every ten minutes, and if they come out and tell you that there are only 20 tickets and thirty people on line, please do the math. I've seen that happen way too many times. They *can't* add extra rush tickets, they're some really nice guys, and their patience amazes me, but please do your part. Don't block the doors or the windows, bring a book, and don't be mad if the others on line don't hold your place, half of them haven't spoken English the last few times I Rushed. The guy with the blonde dreadlocks outside the stage door isn't Josh Strickland, if he ignores you, don't post that Josh has an attitude, it's not him. Hrm, what else? :) OK. End of lecture. Enjoy the show, give Chester a banana for me! Ook!

Yes, get there earlier than that. I went a few weeks ago on a Saturday and arrived shortly after 10:00 am and didn't get rush. (However, this was because of someone in front of me who was able to purchase 6 tickets with ONE id and 3 people, which I am still a little bitter about). Haha, but even then, we would have barely received tickets. I would say try getting there around 9.

As for Saturday night, you may not be able to get rush for the evening unless you get there around 3:30 or 4. I arrived around 4:30 (since I didn't get rush for the matinee) and BARELY got tickets.

Good luck! Haha, and enjoy the show. :)

With the closing announcement how has rush been lately? Particularly on Sundays? Thanks!

It hasn't been that bad. I don't know what next week will bring however. Last sunday since it was Jenn's last show the rush line was extremely long. However everyone was able to get tickets because they gave out almost 40.

From what I've heard, since the show is closing they will be giving everyone in the rush line a ticket. They are only supose to give out 20 but I think they could care less if they are screwing Disney out of money. The first 20 people will be getting the usual side orchestra seats and the rest will be scattered around the theater.

That is not true. My friend was turned away 15 minutes before curtain on Tuesday night.

I rushed last Friday (the last show before they announced they'd be closing...). I got there at 4pm, and there were 6 people in front of me in line. They only gave out 20 tickets, so most of the people who came after around 5pm didn't get them. Front row though ... so worth it. I'm not sure if I would have enjoyed the show if I'd been in the back, but for front row at 20 bucks, totally worth it.

When some of the crew members were coming out the stage door at the end, one of them said "yeah, we got our notices today." I didn't know what that meant at the time, but I guess they were told it was over. Makes sense that Jenn and Josh didn't come out the stage door that night, I suppose.
