Could very well be; I'm just saying I'm not getting that at all out of what you say.

Personally, the whole drama surrounding the show makes me want to see it more. See what all the fuss is about.

Apparently there is a new (non-musical) film version!?

Posted: 9/10/20 at 5:17pmYes. With armie hammer and lily James. My only hope is that this stirs enough interest to reopen the New York premiere for the musical.

I will never not want to see Rebecca onstage.

As Joy Behar would say:
So what? Who cares?

Um, people in this thread?
Not interested? Cool. No need to click/read/post/judge the thread. Problem solved!

Um, Sutton Ross, in this thread?
Don’t tell people what to do!
People can comment if they want to!

^ I'm not going to deny it, lol.
In that vein... I notice that Germany's Theater Magdeburg has a new, non-replica production planned for 2022 (originally planned for this year). That's the same theatre which did the semi sci-fi Chicago last year; not sure if they'll go equally out there with 'Rebecca', but it might be interesting to see what they do. In two years' time.

It’s just soooooo good. This song alone makes it deserve that Broadway production:
Pia Douwes sings “Rebecca” [title song]

That track is brilliant. My fear with a Broadway production of Rebecca is that it would suffer a fate similar to the most recent, Doctor Zhivago. I would even be willing to see a Rebecca tour to build momentum that had a limited Broadway stop just for them to say it eventually played Broadway.

Ditto.

Posted: 9/26/20 at 9:17pmTheir Carols for a Cure song is a great, macabre joke. One of the darker entries in the series, up there with the haunting Matilda song about Christmas at a boarding school, and the almost unlistenably bleak song about Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

Victor, why don’t you take a breath and step away from the computer. Why do, as someone who never posts here, care what people post and talk about? Do you go up to people at the store and tell them to stop talking about certain things or do you just walk on by? Because you can scroll by here, too. Nobody made you open this thread and read what people were saying about a topic you have no interest in. Nobody put a gun to your head and made you actually reply to said subject you’re so sick of seeing discussed.
So just breathe and open a thread on a topic you want to read about. It’s as easy as opening this one was.
