Walter Kerr seems like the most obvious choice for A Little Night Music.

If SISTER ACT transferred to Broadway, the most obvious choices would be either the Hilton or the Neil Simon.

If Addams Family would move to a Nederlander Theatre, I would hope it moves to the Marquis.

I know that, but what if it is no hit?

Thought I'd bring this thread back to life for a moment since we know a bit more now with some more announcements. For sure, the following theaters are taken by these shows:

Barrymore - Race
Longacre - Burn the Floor
O'Neill - Fela!
Shubert - Memphis
St. James - Finian's Rainbow
Jacobs - God of Carnage
Friedman - Royal Family
Studio 54 - Wishful Drinking
American Airlines - After Miss Julie
Henry Miller's - Bye Bye Birdie
Hilton - Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark
Nederlander: The Neil Simon plays

Rumored:
Circle in the Square: Our Town
Walter Kerr: A Little Night Music (pretty much a sure thing)
Lunt-Fontanne: Addams Family

Productions without announced homes:
Ragtime
In the Next Room (the vibrator play): my money's on the Belasco
Superior Donuts: I'd place a bet on the Music Box

Could Ragtime get the Neil Simon? So much has been rumored for that spot. Would it fit in the Broadhurst?

In addition to what's already been confirmed, it's widely speculated that the following will occur-

Neil Simon- RAGTIME
Broadhust- HAMLET
Schoenfeld- A STEADY RAIN
Belasco- IN THE NEXT ROOM (or the vibrator play)
Golden- LA CAGE AUX FOLLES
Walter Kerr- A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC
Music Box- SUPERIOR DONUTS

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

Might as well add the Music Box to the empty list since AOC just had a closing notice put up it seems..

The Donmar's production would be making the trip across the pond? With Jude Law in the title role, mehopes...

La Cage? In the Golden? Well, Avenue Q can't last forever, I suppose, but it's been doing some decent buisness.

Broadhust- HAMLET - Semi-confirmed: the staff was notified weeks ago that this is their next show (and yes, with Jude Law)

Schoenfeld- A STEADY RAIN - Semi-confirmed - the staff was notified today that this is their next show

Golden- LA CAGE AUX FOLLES - this theater is way to small for that show

Having seen the production of Ragtime... A Smaller house for this show would be very cool. It needs to be that way so it feels like the show is about to burst at the seams......

"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

"Not this production."

Avenue Q barely fits in the Golden. Even a minimal La Cage wouldn't fit.

"Could Ragtime get the Neil Simon? So much has been rumored for that spot. Would it fit in the Broadhurst?"

Ragtime's producers looked at the Simon weeks ago, and the manager said the next show is an existing production. So if they come through with the Broadway transfer, it's Ragtime at the Simon. It would fit at the Broadhurst, but the Broadhurst was booked months ago with Hamlet.

I think this production of LA CAGE... could (and will) fit easily into The Golden.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

The largest set piece is the birdcage that comes out in the title number. In fact, that's the only set piece that isn't a flat or a background. This ain't the musical extravaganza that the last production was. This version makes the last one look like WICKED.

The question is, wherever it goes, will the pull out the first few rows and create table seats like in London?

I've seen this production- it is very "cosy". It would fit with no problem!

Bump. Could LA CAGE go to the Helen Hayes...?

Or are there still rumors that EVERYDAY RAPTURE is going there as 2ST's first Broadway venture at the theater?

This is an intimate production of La Cage, but the Helen Hayes is probably too small. I think La Cage will be in one of the 800-1000 seat playhouses. 39 Steps will probably run through the end of the year, so I don't think the Hayes is available for Everyday Rapture just yet.

Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.

I thought Minksy's wasn't planning on transferring this season.

i would have loved to have seen Adams Family go to the Belasco. I think it would of added the perfect atmosphere for that show
