#2451Chris Jones' Replacement?
Posted: 5/15/08 at 1:37am
I'm kind of suprised they're having JLB be the touring Frankie. I know they had him cover the alternate on tour for a bit but I thought they would have bumped up Zach.
He's not one of my favorites in the role but I enjoyed his performance. I'm sure he'll do great on tour. I'd have to agree with Lizzie, he has a great voice and can handle the score. His voice actually reminds me of Steven Goldsmith's. However I thought his acting felt flat when I saw him the fist time around (near the beginning of the holiday run) but thought he would do better with a few more performances under his belt. I saw him again near the end of the run and his acting was much better.

Posted: 5/15/08 at 2:44pmThat looks so much fun. Too bad LV does not have any baseball team...or any sports team. I guess the LV Boys can always drive to CA to sing for the weirdly named LAA of A.

Don't they have minor league teams? That's something! :)
News item: Taylor Sternberg's master class! This'd be fun to watch: http://news.communitypress.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080515/NEWS05/805150450/1075/RSS13

Ouch...
As far as I know JLB taking over is still a rumor, but I guess we'll see if it's official within a month or something. Has an exact date been set for Chris' departure? I'm guessing it's sometime mid June.

Sorry
Something is just not right putting "Jersey Boys" and "minor league" in the same sentence/context. :)

Posted: 5/19/08 at 3:28amThe Chad Jones article that Leanna linked to was in today's print version of the Contra Costa Times, with a color photo of the four main guys, on the front of the Travel section. A very orange photo, but nice (and they don't do color photos in the papers very often these days).

Yes, las Vegas does not have professional baseball teams, they do have the minor league team for the Dodgers. BUT, many PHANTOM members have sung for the various professional Basketball teams that play exhibition games here, and also the summer professional baseball teams that play exhibition games here. Not to mention other college sports venues.
We do not have professinal, baseball, football or basketball right now because our mayor cannot get the powers that be to agree to allow a team in Las Vegas due to gambling in our town. But two arena's are being built and we are hoping for a football team or basketball as they are the ones that seem more wanting to come to Las Vegas.
Speaking of sports -- Las Vegas - PHANTOM and JERSEY BOYS softball game in photos -- Thought you might enjoy the photos on the site linked below. BroadwayVegas is run by the alternate Christine in PHANTOM here in Las Vegas Kristen and her husband usually does the photos.
Yours,
Carolyn

Found a clip from the theatre renaming ceremony for JB Chicag. It went from LaSalle Bank Theater to the Bank of America Theater.
Wonder if the guy apologized to Bryan for calling him Jeremy.

Yeah, that's totally my video :) And I'm pretty sure he didn't even notice. I didn't even notice until I watched the video back and I was like "Wait, what?"
And I don't know the last name of who is taking over for Lauren in Chicago, but I know that her first name is Alaina (sp?). That comes from Lauren saying "Don't worry, you'll love Alaina, she's great!" So, yeah.

Thanks for that info and the vid fxy2003cmu.
There have been a few changes in cast members to each company but the chages aren't being updated on the official sites.
ETA: Saw that they recently updated all the cast lists on the official sites. And here are some changes that I don't think were mentioned before.
Chicago cast - Alayna Gallo is the new Lorraine
Vegas Cast - Nathan Klau officially joined the cast and Dominic Scaglione Jr. is the new alternate Frankie

There should be a reality show on Frankie Camp. But without voting or anything.
Dominic is kinda hot: https://youtube.com/watch?v=zTuM6xKoIOs
P.S. Jo Chang, you don't accept PMs!
