"Don't Rain On My Pride Parade."
Obviously.
I hope she sings it to the government as a way to tell them to not withhold medication for sick people.

I saw the film at a screening. It's pretty good, important. Everyone is great in the film except Mark Ruffalo. His acting is kinda terrible at times and the direction to project dialogue at times doesn't work on film.
Correct me if I'm wrong but there is a sequel "The Destiny of Me"

I can't wait for the The New Normal Heart where Ned and Dr. Emma raise a baby together.

Finebydesign, you're absolutely right. There was a sequel called The Destiny of Me in the late 1980's, with Jonathan Hadary playing the older Ned Weeks and the then-unknown John Cameron Mitchell playing the younger Ned Weeks. It was generally considered a disappointment.

Is it safe to assume that this sequel will be an adaptation of The Destiny Of Me?

The Normal Heart 2: The Normaling
The Normal Heart 2: This Guy Who Shagged Me
...no good?
"The Normal Heart 2: It's Not AIDS. It's HBO."
I think you need to play off the H more there, so...

The Destiny of Me was a Pulitzer finalist and won the Obie and Lortel for Best Play.
"My personal opinion" =/= generally
I think the fact people were unsure if it existed speaks more than its awards.
At the risk of aging myself, I saw The Destiny of Me and found it extremely powerful, well, as much as I remember the details... it has been a while.
