oh idk i think its important to have inutil there, even though its not my favorite song. You're right its not needed for the plot but it's important for the development of Kevin's character and to show his reasons for doing some of the things he did.
And yeah Andrea's "vanessa" was great. That woman is always amazing. Though is it just me or have they changed the line reading of "I'm thirsty, cono" idk it seems different and i kind of liked it better before.

"Inutil" is a vital song for the development of Kevin's character. It really helps in making him more sympathetic, to understand where he comes from, why he makes the choices he does, etc. It also helps to provide another context for the immigrant experience within the show. I'm very fond of that song.
And I can't be sure, cause I'm not really a frequent visitor (and it's going to get harder to see it now with the growing popularity of the show), but I've been told that Andrea changes up her reading of "I'm thirsty, coño" practically every night.
I bought mine in the beginning of May I believe. Here is my review!
So last night I went to see the first show after the win. I went in thinking it was going to be a huge show with special things like speeches standing ovations etc. There wasn't but it was still amazing. The performance was incredible! It was my 5th time.
Lin- Amazing as usual. He got like a minute applause in the beginning. I wanted to give him a standing Ovation but no one else did so we decided not to. I was surprised. But he got a huge applause in the end like usual. But the cast was so energetic! He had great chemistry with Olga, Karen and Robin!
Robin- His best show! I love him, He was so funny. He should have won the other night. I really wish he had more to sing because his voice is amazing!
Karen- Awesome! She is just amazing at everything. She seemed extra energetic. Her line delivery of "Why do you have to look at me when you say that?" was wonderful and got lots of laughs. And "Champagne" was beautiful!
Mandy- Wonderful! Her voice is amazing and her acting was really good.
Olga- I like her more and more each time I see her.
Priscilla- Amazing, Enough was amazing
Carlos- Fine, average. I have never liked the character. I have only seen John and Carlos, so maybe another Kevin would change my opinion. I would love to see Eliseo as Kevin.
Andrea- Incredible! She is perfect for the role. Amazing Voice!
Janet- Same as Andrea, she is incredible! She has an amazing voice!
Chris- Same as always, amazing,
Rest of the cast was incredible! Everyone came out at Stagedoor! Karen and Mandy were so sweet and so was Doreen and Rosie! And Lin!
I'm In The Heights happy! I can't think about anything else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to buy a In The Heights wall Clock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry for the short not needed rant!
theres no reason they would have a special playbill, though i'm curious as to when they are changing the doors, since they got the 13 nominations door up that day!
And I got my tickets in april or may i think

This might be a stupid question, but on the tony's how come everyone cheered when carla and danielle sang?
Because Andrea Burns is just that awesome? Seriously, that's my theory anyway- those were fans of the show, who 'know' Daniela (and yes Carla, but Daniela has some of the best lines) and were happy to see her/them.
And, Andrea change the "coño" up pretty often, from what I've seen/heard.
Did you all buy your tickets far in advance?
I bought mine in April, for last night.
So I just bought tix for July, and not only has the $31.50 rear mezz price gone up to $41.50, but they've also now cut a row from that section? That section used to be F, G and H, and it's now just G and H, row F is now part of the 'front' section of the rear mezz. Bummer.
I always wondered if the percussion at the very beginning of, "In the Heights" is Lin-Manuel's tribute to West Side Story, as he mentions WSS in an interview on Luis Salgado's website RevolucionLatina.

How old do you think Olga is? (I know its none of my business but I'm just curious, since she looks really good)
